Anyone else looking at this setup. Lots room to the upside. I just bought some here.

Short term can be also at least the AB-CD pattern : the channel was not broken upside yet. D wave is forming high.

if we trade completely sideways (tight range/ boring/ no new high) for the rest of the day, a long around 13164 would be a good place to look.

Yep i might be.... in 8 hours time ill know if im long on it with your or not...
i need to wait for candle close and from the looks of it there seems to be a bullish divergence signal going to come up at candle close...
and i suspect the EURNZD up move would be contributed by NZD weakness... have a look where NZDUSD is.... retesting highs... and failure would give us that catalysts for EURNZD to move up on weakened NZD
but ill inform you if im in

Didn't pay attention to EUR/NZD.

Support is right at the dot 1.3172. Missed 3/4 of the move Too busy with EUR/JPY.

Need cable to spike up to either break above 1.61 or confirm double top.

Until that hard to short euro.
They think they are smarter than I am.

It got close enough to the level to warrant me taking a stab at it here. I'm watching the daily close as well to see if it justifies add on in front of london session. Could be a nice 500++ pip move over the next few days if the level holds.

I just booked half my profits on the e/j & a/j I was long from last weeks London's session pre NFP. I'm looking to add some more back into both yen trades if I see some weakness & can find a spot. Hopefully at some point tomorrow or early next.

well this is the chart to show you why i may long eurnzd

Daily EMA 55 below Daily EMA 200...
So if a bullish rsi divergence signal occurs at candle close.... ill be opening a long
to long it back to the EMAs

Well, looks like easy money has been made for today. Again, congrats to those who went long, and congrats especially to MaxDoom and Attila for their excellent commentary.

Looks like this is just going to grind for the rest of the day. Agree with Yelena that the range has pretty much exhausted itself. EURO shot up from the Daily Pivot through R1 - R4 in a matter of hours. One doesn't get these kind of moves very often. It sure is sweet if one gets on the right side of a move like this. I'll be very interested to see what Asia does with this. Hopefully we don't just stagnate here.

PS -- fxtyrant - My earlier question wasn't meant by any stretch of the imagination as a "dig" against you. I guess I was just a little flabbergasted that someone like yourself was caught off guard by not being aware of the ECB press conference. So hopefully, no hard feelings...

Not exactly. I closed at first target of around 56/7 rather than hang on for 2nd target. General feeling was price may not go too much higher at that time, also I believe you may have suggested 38 as a potential top for the day, it was you or someone else on here. But grabbed a few more during the crazy bull run, but nothing compared to what I would have had If id just kept original position open...

Still, positive pips are just that, positive. Shoulda woulda coulda doesnt do anybody any good...

A good day apart from closing too early, so not complaining. (over 120 for the day which is alot for me!).

Can't complain although missing 3/4 of the move for E/U, number of pips from E/J are more than enough in less than 30 mins.

Looking to add long for E/U if 1.3172 not breached. This is the tough support.

nah buddy no hard feelings... its just im right now on a course of medication to help with my allergy. ever since i got back to Hong Kong, the change of air quality from being in London and now being in Hong Kong is taking a toll on me....
so im on a course of allergy medication, and its kinda messing my sleeping patterns up because of the drowziness after taking the meds...

if anything, theres goes my amaturish trading, not looking hard enough if theres news before trading... :/

Wont happen next time.... but i got to say im still feeling drowzy so i might call it a day

I don't trade with Indies because I don't really understand exactly how they work, but if I'm understanding correctly your looking for the daily close to confirm bullish divergence correct?

Yes and if i have a confirmation... i will look to long it to target 1.5750 then 2nd target 1.5900 then over flowed target.... 1.6120

maybe but 1.3050 will pose a strong support as we bounced off it, if we are to go down again that will be the line in the sand to keep an eye on.
