swap is asshole, but I micromanage sl against swap, to keep me positive and expecting/ need a reasonable rate of decent, there is a falling tl on monthly 45% angle, this will be my marker, every tap I will be adding targeting 8224 7915 7606 for starters

that's new to me.
It's a constant ebb & flow there always needs to be somebody to provide liquidity. There never only long or only short.

I don't think that's what he's saying. Investment banks with large positions have to manage trades over a longer time period to avoid showing their hand to the market. That means buying on long term dips and selling in segments so that they don't scare their counterparty away. So in order to utilize all of their capital, which certainly can't be done with scalping or intraday trading, position trading is really the only way to do it.

so you're saying that there is no strategic buying and selling plan (incorporating analysis of avail liquidity) v. a tactical buy/sell under NBBO rules...

large players just take whatever is available via their trading desks? ...and if no liquidity appears, then... uh-oh! ...or they try to liquidate it later?

I'm not sure how up you got the idea of no strategic buying or selling from what I said above. & yes banks take whatever is available it's called a being liquidity provider. Why do you think you always get filled. Doesn't mean there going to hold it but they will provide the liquidity & flip it for just the spread.

There is talk that the markets are looking to Draghi later for mention of possible reduced easing.

I'm just wondering how people see such comments as impacting on the E/U pair?

Up or down for the E/U?

This is what the majority of algo trading is. They don't care long or short they take whatever they can get filled & it's immediately put on the other side. Depending on what your trading it can be done for a loss & you still make money on the rebates depending what exchange you route orders thru & how much in rebates they pay. More common in equities but slowly making its way into fx.

Same yesterday Asia session ... bottom support and back to the opening level in an horizontal S

Usually i would have traded that with breakout out of these values bounds. BUT a little clock in my head says : like yesterday you'd better waiting for ECB news (probably no news at all but as the ECB is new, fear is there !).
