I dont really think so. But if that is the case I 'll put a heavy short at the resistance.

But curious, what makes you think there's gonna be a 50pips spike. with no news no data no nothing .... ?

aud is very strong going up from the lows 1.034 but it s against a major daily trend line which could turn it down and im looking for it to start the decline to 61.8%fib of the rally .958 and 1.061 and that comes to .9983 . i ll do a chart of the daily tf to show the traingle

There is an easier way of hedging. u can just put a buy limit or buy on live rate if you want to trade it up and believe its going up, accompanied with a sell stop and cut ur buy position once a key level is gone, and vice versa. such positions plotting requires good understanding of the market volatility and s and r.

or u can place a buy lo, sell hi within a range, and wait for breakout of that range to close the wrong position, this way u cut the loser short and ride on winner, as soon as ur loser is cut, ur winner should already be BE + pips...

Easy to say ..but hard to do.That why want to share this with you. I met a lot of traders and I noticed that all look the same screen but see different things.
Doesn't matter if you want to go when the price is low or high ...this method works anyway. I hate to tell you where I think the price will get ...because
sometimes may be so but sometimes not. The market is the king. So I tell you I can't predict the market but I can make money from it. I live as " beeing right or making money". I don't want to be right..just make money. And I'll do this by protecting my capital. That's my share.

What if NFP data turns out to be bad and shoot gold up to the sky again, and aud follows ...

I was in a short for aussie last night but got stopped out

Now I am still debating myself wether or not that i should short again or just wait till after friday.

not really, its very dependable on how the trader looks at the market, if hes very bearish or bullish bearish, then one is not suitable for hedging, as they are biased. if u observed, maxdoom is one of the few whom always employ such strategy as well.

i don't share live trades here, as it can be misleading.

DAX30 H1 Chart wants to make one more bull flag. It means that we can see 1.3480 on Eur/Usd in 2 weeks.

Hedging is another word most often used in order to obscure the fact that a muppet has no clue where to go with the markets risks ...

And if used with almost same amounts in different direction there is nothing lost and nothing won ... but twice amount spread fees paid ... better to learn where to go with the markets risk and come to a decision at a convenient point of time and just simply take a trade that works ...

Just take a trade and make a roundturn with a well defined ENTRY and a well defined EXIT ...

Overall a trader who is able to determine where to go and how to pip it into his accounts won't never need such "repair techniques" ...

And of course ... I have not seen many scalpers here ... just because most of them cannot scalp with their beloved MT4 online shops ... as per definition every trade that lasts longer than 90 seconds cannot be named correctly by the word "scalping" anymore ...

So what?
