the best thing to do is look at all previous FOMC statements, see how they have changed the wording over the last 2-3 years (compare each statement and identify the differences) and see what the reponse is in the markets by looking back over the same 3 years in this pair and the correlated markets such as equities indices, dixy, uCHF, uCAD. Print out 3 years of statements and corresponding charts in all correlated markets.

Also view all of Benny's press conferences since he started doing them.

You are not likely to get a sensible answer here, trading is all about doing your homework, so go do some.


Ah nevermind, just had a look at your trade explorer and you lost 13% of your account today in one trade that set you back 19 pips. Worrying about the FOMC should be the last thing on your mind, learn some of the basic skills first, like risk management.

Yes and 1/3 is unemployed, the banks are all out of money and virtually bankrupt with about half a dozen valued negatively with their stocks trading in the pennies and an empty housing stock large enough to give every Spaniard a second home, so that is not going to change for a generation.

oil is toppy. and was a good correlated indi for the eu at one time. this correlation should weaken and no longer be true eventually. higher oil is going to weaken the usd less over time, since the u.s. will import less. and if the u.s. exports more oil based products it will boost the usd over time. even if the u.s. does not export a single drop of oil. the products it produces all have oil cost in them. no matter if its in the shipping or the plastic wrap. this cheaper oil advantage will boost the usd. BB has dropped rates about as low as possible. energy is a game changer. give it some time..

in ur dreams buddy.... when ur country cant produce anything to even pay back the debt...
2 things gona happen....

take greece for example.... Greece leaves eurozone, greece goes to drachma, and then drachma devalues in order to attract investors for growth... but as you devalue drachma, itll be even harder and harder for a devaluing drachma versus the Euro to pay back the Euro Debt...

If Greece were to get a debt write off like mexicans and brazil did.... the banking community in Europe will collapse due to bad debts written off...

Hi guys, Im new here. Been stalking this forum for the last 2-3 months just decided to make my first post. Ive been trading for about a year now. Im a swing trader. Hope to learn from the experts here.

First trade for 2013 - Long at 1.3095 (50% fib retrace level from 1.289 to 1.33 and strong support level from triple top mid Sept, Oct and early Dec)
S/L 1.305 looking to hold long term...maybe opportunity to pyramid.
