Yeah...early rise. Funny, I would like to see gap up. I have open buy position at 86.08 and hopu for a gap up to close it in green. If not...it will not be a big deal...I have sl at 85.80. If green ok if red ok too. Maybe Ill hedge the position. Anyway will not short it alone....rather wait for a bounce.

A question out to everybody bears and bulls.

who sees this as a long term trend change in the dollar yen?
Does anybody think that we will see all time record lows in this pair again this year?

With the new government... no, Yen is not going back to new lows again and probably not until the next global crisis.

I say we will see a pull back to low 79s and then we will make new highs.

From my point of view i dont even see low 79s i think any dips will be well supported and seen as good buying opportunities.

However this is forex and you never know.

Hi All,
Charting 101:
5 trend gradients on the DLY Chart,
and possibly the end of wave 3 up?
It's also in overbought territory in the Up Trending Channel.
Expect substantial consolidation?

Very true... that was a nice little attempt to the upside. 17 hours left on the clock for the fiscal abyss... changed direction, again, with the previous target of low 79s.

Well, that was a let down. I was expecting this to retrace, but, it's being quite stubborn in it's overbought state.

Anyone have any new insight on this?

Did they sort this fiscal cliff out before the cut off or are they continuing to discuss it this month?

this is why youshould stick to demo accounts with statments like this..

Uj may be on a reverse 2008 style crash upwards. 200 would not be surprising on gpyjpy.

It will retrace after all accouts are wiped... Uj is called widow maker for a reason.

Another hint that something big is up is that ot rose very sharply theough dec even though retailerss were generally long.. Definetily not heavily shorting.

The week ended strong with fiscal bs in the background.

Def not a short here wihoutt strong confirmation signals then wait for a retrace to make sure

Hope after the fiscal cliff resolution that on Wednesday we get an opportunity for a retrace. There haven't been many larger frame entry opportunities to the upside for a while.

I thought the incoming PM said that he thought 88.00 was a target price for USD/JPY?

I would be more than happy,if it did retrace

I would feel more safer taking a bigger trade

I was thinking 85.5

I am still holding longs,

I sort of can't help my self,I see the green pips an I scoop them all up.

better in my account then letting them slip away

Yes he said 90. I pulled out a couple of days ago, thinking fiscal cliff would pull this beauty down, but went back in long since yesterday and doing pretty darn well so far. I'm aiming for 88/90 for now.
