are there a load of complete newbie traders on this forum??

People seem totally obsessed with TA and oblivious to the fundamentals. Going long on EURUSD at these levels and with so much event risk on the horizon is bloody risky or just plain stupid- the little sell off we just saw is nothing compared to how fast this could drop if risk aversion sets in properly. Personally I can't quite understand what propelled this pile of turd up to these levels apart from pure speculative interest in very thin markets at historically the lowest level of participation in 5 years. Once volatility returns people running stupid single digit stops will be washed straight down the shitter...

i;m much better as a short, my trades are 90% shorting.
i stayed out, yesterday i wrote here that the possibility to rise [EURUSD] was 80% and indeed, last night/morning it did it, but anemically ....so i did not get out from home today; then i caught eurjpy on the wrong foot, for the first time in my life, lol; volatile days are awesome. the laws of physics were back for 60 minutes
I'll shop after the drop

this dip is "unbuyable" (EJ)..

i made 1 attempt to short EU (resistance overshoot) and 2 attempts to short EJ (resistance overshoot. pin bar in H1 (2nd attempt), OB from M1 to W1 charts). that is an 88 pip drop for the 500 it made. someone's taking profits already so SL moved to 113.99 (locked profit), TP 113.25 (150 pips from high). trying very hard to sit on my hands.

but if indeed, the one who was slowly building is now taking profits, then im not sure im willing to buy unless i have a clear solid signal to do so. trailing short to 111.52.... (rising target). that's the plan, usually doesn't get followed.

math, you were asking what have you missed? Here's what I was thinking when I said it'll go up this week... That being said, if it turns around here, it'll not care about that missed test and it goes to the moon.. If the cliff happens then it'll drop through the floor of course, and there will be no tests, just down and more down..

When politicians run the markets you might hate laws of physics. Fresh Long and Short are not out of the woods yet.

I wouldn't be long here, nice 4 hr Bearish outside bar off resistance engulfing the prior 5 bars. That said, the market so wants to go higher and should Harry Reid, President Obama or Boner make any positive comments about the FC, we should rocket.

what do you think ? was the dip bad enough to scare some longs on eurjpy ? i mean, not for the euro, but for the yen, it's time for him to react a little and have a few green days
