It's not a big deal really and normal in that kind of position.

A buddy of mine works for the U.S. dept of stats and he gets early information. But can't leak it or trade on it. If he ever did, he'd be prosecuted.

Agreed & if Boehner wants to keep his seat he'll give in sooner than later. He already tried flexing his muscles today & showed his cards which didn't prove to be fruitful at all. This sell off is a knee jerk reaction to him pulling his Plan B which even it was passed was going to be vetoed by Obama. Bunch of political bs basically. At the end of the day the US is on the road to recovery albeit slow but definitely on the right path & as long as interest rates stay low & Ben keeps printing the eur/used will continue to strengthen.

are they allowed to hold trading accounts?or conflict of interest applies their too?
