I know of some very good traders who were hounded much worse than you ! So, just don't bother about them.Many times more guys must be thankful to you that you are posting here and take hints from you. You are into this because you love this game and FX is a lonely biz and everyone likes company. So, if someone bothers you more, just put them on Iggy list - so you never hear from them. You can also close your PM link.
Many are simply jealous. So, ignore them and get on with what you do best !

Sure this Christmas is going to be a Merry one for you but nevertheless, I add my Good Wishes for A Very Merry Christmas !

At times of uncertainty, the big funds hold cash, that cash is always dollars so there is a lack of supply in the markets so the relative price goes up.

When there is good news, they exchange that cash pile for equities, holding cash does not make anyone any money, so the supply of dollars increase, it gets taken of the balance sheets and exchanged for equites, dollars get dumped, that reduces the relative value and you see eurusd going up, uchf going down.

Correlation is a very simple tool to watch to judge the overall appetite for risk. Every once in a while direct correlation is skewed between equities and dollars, then it always pays of to either look at bonds or commodities to see where the money is flowing.

The whole market is a flow of cash, you as a trader just need to figure out where the cash is flowing from and to and trade the net result in whatever instrument takes your fancy.

Until we had all the QE cash was not created so the flows were easier to spot and to trade, now with QE it has become a bit harder and less clear, but money still flows, it has to, that creates added value to whoever triggers the flow and that in turn creates profit and that is what makes the world go round in our little corner of the universe.

All we have to do is figure out where the cash is flowing from and where to and trade eurusd accordingly.

EU is a pair, you need to figure out what the euro is doing and what the dollar is doing, each have their own flows and don't necessarily flow from and to each other, but that flow does dictate its relative value.
