Guys i think that ABE need some time to make some changes in BoJ! easing policy by BOJ this week? im confused....

With LDP win The LDP wants MAJOR easing from BOJ. The LDP partys want to rase the infation rate from 1% to 2% and PRINT, PRINT, PRINT. The LDP has the majority now. Also there was bad data friday afternoon for the yen.
BOJ meeting this week.. they will launch a new QE program ..printing 5 -10 Trillion yen.

Newbie here. I got carried away with the news and just went long for USDJPY at 84.17. I hope it will continue going upwards into 85 ?

83.50 is key price level for this pair now, if it breaks below it then bailout otherwise 85.00 is on the card.

Really ? So you are one of the HEROES who goes short on USDJPY now ? Maybe you should check your charts and also some fundamentals :

In order for them to hit 1% not to speak about the 2%, the target Abe want's they will have to put a sh!& load of YEN's in the market, and until now my Ichimoku analysis + fundamental didn't lie , check my posts from 1 month ago and you will see what I mean.

Hope all is well Sir. It's been pretty quiet overall on these yen threads I'm guessing a lot of people are winding down for the year, I'm in the process of doing it myself. Hope you kept a little runner on just for a little extra padding for the holidays. Happy holiday to you and the family.

I closed my small ones 1 week ago and my biggest one yesterday but I'm pretty much satisfied because I reached and passed my monthly target of %10 ( this month I'm up %30 with my portfolio so is nice ).

Very nice sir Glad to hear your still holding some as well. I've closed a fairly large portion of my positions but will to continue to hold what's left till my stops are hit, still debating on whether I want to commit to buying the dips at this time of year. I'm expecting to take off a little over 2 weeks for the holidays so I'm not sure I want the added stress of managing positions during this time. I remember a couple of weeks back you had asked about at what point do these become long term investments. Based on recent news coming out of Japan we could very well be at the early stages of a major uptrend IMO. I'm wondering what your take is on the current price Levels. I was actually out with a very close trader friend this weekend & I was shocked to hear his desks targets for the first quarter. He works for a major bank here in NYC and from what he was telling me his desk is targeting 112.00 area by the end of the first quarter.

Congrats . Closed my longs earlier but with a good profit. Nice to see that you achieved monthly targets. Same here mate. Good luck.

That's very interesting but 112.00 is a massive target for the first quarter,I was thinking the other day I wouldn't be surprised to see 90.00 in the first quarter.i do know when it does reverse and all the big players are convinced,that it could go up very quickly but 112 is to much

As ever I would like a good pullback to add heavier to my positions.

I do agree it could be a trend reversal if the fiscal cliff is sorted out and data out of America continues to improve and ABE does what he has said then I don't see why it couldn't be.

I agree that 112.00 seems extremely aggressive, but there banking on massive amounts of easing as well a large increase in volatility which will cause the daily ranges to get much larger. We do have to keep in mind the higher the price gets the larger a 1% move becomes. 1% of 85.00 compared to 1% of 100.00 is a 15 pip difference add that up over a couple of days a week over a a few month period & i guess those numbers start to seem very realistic. I try not to let others projections sway my opinion and affect my decisions but I do find it useful to get a feel for what others think. Regardless according to my trading style & rules I let the market tell me when it's time to get out that's the beauty of trading larger time frames.

Just for clarification I guess I have "older long yens" then yours so do not worry I am on the right side . My first futures short contract (6J, which is the future of JPYUSD) was sold when the price was 79.1.
It was a note and it was true (84.4 to 83.6).
