A clock or watch is often the most overlooked tool here in this thread. It is something that each and every trader in the world can agree to, not support or resistance levels, there is a certain level of ambiguity to those, but a clock is set in stone, literally 10's of thousands of participants in trading use the exact same clock and keep doing the exact same thing at the exact same time of each exact same day of each week, month and year.

I would have reckoned that at least the time of day and what happens where would be set in stone here, that surely is one of the absolute basics for each and every trader.

Obviously it's a little early to be sure. But, looking on my weekly chart it almost looks like we're in the process of making the right shoulder from Dec 2004... Any thoughts?

many many times, I trade only by the clock and disregard everything else..

many get confused in the fx market hours.. I really don't care about those.. It's the stock exchanges hours that matter.

looks like i may be able to see it. the euro close on weeks end +- 88 is usually future indi if crossed. so far after 5est open it holds, to the pip.

that being said, if this continues up in it's meaningless way, 1.3215 is what I'll be paying attention to. I really hope it's not setting up that range I talked about earlier..

Spot on, there is no such thing as FX hours as it is an off exchange traded instrument so the only thing we traders can go by is the change of moneyflow that occurs during opening and closing of certain equity/FI/metal and other exchanges, their overlap and their daily SCHEDULED fixes that each exchange all over the world has.

The FX "market" is one of those ambiguous entities that does not exist but that has limits put on it by trader's beliefs, none of it based on hard facts but rather on rumours and old wives' tales screamed from rooftops by the uniformed and misinformed.

A good dozen of us have been posting prices all evening, but still dozens showed up and went on about a GAP, how come we didn't have one, they don't question that, they believe what they see. Trading what you see without questioning it or properly researching it is a very dangerous thing to do.

One thing very important of market hours change is gap time.
