A little clue re fakeouts.

About half an hour prior to a significant news events, if you get a sharp move against your HTF stochs, and the stochs dont react, also check your H1 & H4 charts, then with the news, PA then pivots back in the direction of your HTF charts, you will also probably get a Genesis arrow or two.

It happened perfectly on last Fridays NFP, EJ had sold off all day, then 30 mins prior to news, you had the exhaustion leg, and the M15 stochs diverged beautifully.

I didnt trade it, because it was an especially sensitive news release, but it showed off a perfect fakeout. Earlier on Friday GU did exactly the same, which I got.

It is important when stochs move in line with price, and it is just as important when price moves and stochs dont !!

Re currencies, I would suggest losing that quickly, have no attachments to any currency or pair, if your signals indicate a trade, enter, no emotions !! Dont question why something is moving, or the the event which triggered it, just trade your signals.

This is an H8 chart, but you can see this on a Daily chart as well. It is a *possible* Head and Shoulders pattern forming. All we need is the the last shoulder to form, and that would happen at the very convenient 1.3000 round number.....so it might happen. The Neckline is at about 2875, and if this pattern forms, and if it breaks...
So here we are, at the shoulder and 1.3000 (+ or -). Now we need to see what happens next. This is going to be interesting......

I will have to watch for that, thanks Martyfish. Stochs dead in the water, price rampaging to attract my quick witted mouse fingers!!

As an aside to everything, how the hell does everyone else reply with "Originally posted by...." whilst I am cutting and pasting and quotes etc, etc???

There might not be much in it as I still don't have a huge amount of stats for the H4 strategy, but EU turned long above 2968 and is currently showing a best of +46; next 'mathematical' TPs are +69 (3037) & +81 (3049) and interestingly that coincides with recent S&R on the H8 chart (purple arrows). Should we get past that, again the math suggests we revisit the +157/+170 (3125/3138) area (purple box).
Also, AB = AC almost to the pip! Triple top anyone?

Before we get ahead of ourselves, and not wanting to get too deep into this pattern recognition/prediction stuff, we need to confirm or invalidate the current forming H & S pattern.

Besides watching currencies I'm watching and indices. Here is a trade on Demo that I took yesterday on [CAC40] with signal candle @3619,5 and it triggered pending order @3627,9.
Now I moved in BE.

It would seem by the JPY crosses that Shinzo Abe with the liberal democrats is home and hosed. I have not managed to join in.......yet!

Yep...the GU pivot bounce was a good entry. Kiwi is flying (pardon the pun) again today....the Aussie as well

I agree on trading on news, I will only enter if I get a perfect setup.

In this case, I would have expected short sharp selling, before a snap back, with good news. Didnt get #2 or #3

The poor employment data obviously messed things up.
