I never said I agreed with them. They are (mostly) nuts.

Buy bullets if you think civilization is going to crash. With bullets you will never have to pay for gold again.

If you believe that hyperinflation is going to take off, buy farm land. That will preserve value and will feed you in the mean time.

If you believe that we are going to return to the gold standard then sell your gold. If you don't the government is going to simply take it away from you.

Whatever you do, don't buy physical gold. You will never again sleep well at night.

But that thought of all those crazy people out there stockpiling gold gives me a somewhat bullish bias as I scalp in and out of gold positions.

we will always need a wealth medium so never say screw gold if all hells breaks. Any dip at that point you should go all in. You wont be trading food for food you need an exhange item for goods. Unless your saying we revert to homo habilus and forget trading existed

I won't be surprised if gold will be a future bubble. Just like the tulip-mania. Gold can easily be overvalued, because how it it really meaured?

Precious metals have proven fiat currency wrong for 1000's of years. Its at 1700 because its the only thing keeping up with true inflation values. Its not gone up in value as much as dollar has weakened.

Why do all major governments globally start stock piling gold the past 3 years? People try and claim you can't eat it, make it into energy...yadda yadda, but what kind of argument is that...its been the global currency since mankind discovered it. The one with the most, controls the wealth.

Every major civilization of time went as far as their golden wealth took them. How do you argue history I say?

Actually, the only thing keeping up with true inflation is... well everything. that is inflation. The value of money goes down and the cost of everything goes up.

The historical argument really goes like this: The baddest guys with the best weapons will, in the long run, always end up with the gold. If it were otherwise the Inca's would rule Europe.

As for being a medium of exchange, I guess that shells have been in play a bit longer.

What is traded to get those big weapons?

World Wars we've had all involved Silver and Gold for buying weapons, ships...you name...don't remember shells buying many planes and guns.
