Again, the LFL-ATR Projections indy caught the high and the low of today's range in EurJpy....
and the 38% retrace held the bounce up from the low....

Hello everyone!
A new vertical upside count yields 1.3190.
A new horizontal downside count yields 1.2730 (which is a somehow familiar number). It will be cancelled at 1.3010.
A new vertical downside count yields 1.2640 (which is pretty close to 1.2660). It will be activated at 1.2870, cancelled at 1.3010.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Now to see if the London guys want to take this any higher.....

Good morning folks...
New developments have surfaced since yesterday's post in the way of some tricky issues with the Greek debt buy-back program. It seems that the banks are unwilling and/or unable to participate voluntarily in any such program because such buyback is targeting 35 cents on the Euro whilst the book value of the bonds on the banks books sits at 46.5 cents on the Euro. As such, a voluntary participation in the program amounts to nothing less than another haircut very soon after a 53.5 cent haircut earlier this year. I will continue to watch how this unfolds, but it is certainly not looking very good from the very start. My feeling is that some kind of solution will be found, but not without the kind of drama we have come to know. More information on this issue can be found here.
On the US Fiscal cliff front, Boehner and Obama made some very encouraging statements yesterday which seem to indicate that a deal is very close. I submit to you that they probably made a show out of nothing after seeing the markets starting to slip downwards. Be it what it may, the market has once again (as usual) jumped on the hopium wagon. Helping along was a Beige Book which showed that although the US economy is in recovery mode, it still showed that any such recovery is slow. As such, the QE4 bandwagon are now salivating at the possibility of further easing in the form of unsterilized treasury purchases at the end of Operation Twist. This news along with comments from the Fed, bashed the USD on the head a couple of times to completely erase all the gains the greenback had made during the morning session. I don't expect that to last, but we shall probably see the effects for the rest of the week and possibly into Monday... provided we don't get any negative news or comments between now and then.
Technically, we are still within the confines of the range I outlined yesterday. 1.3010 on the topside and 1.2840 on the bottom. Therefore, until I see a break and continuation from either level, we are directionless and ranging.

Agreed, this news driven environment is really hard work - my alerts are sounding off all the time and making me work much too hard to pirate and KEEP my pips
Now to see if the London guys want to take this any higher.....
As the earlier highs ~the 61.8% retrace held as support, I'm holding my longs for a run up towards today's R1 at 2975 and then the LFL ATR projection zone starting at 2990 - also Pte Jackson's sellers area towards the 3000 level....
