what i get from tick chart: (no challenging =no dealing ),we are in uptrend swing and there is no consistent moves (taking profit traders or new buy positions) so in terms of tick and spread you see flatten events but you see suddenly a huugh move(in the scale) it means relative to current volume of the market. some big deals are takeing in place(again taking profit traders or new buy positions )

this is it actually looks better daily,

pretty ugly really, what you reckon, priciples are ok, she tried twice to go lower but bulls rejected, then the head was formed by last big effort by bears, and rejected, now she is trying the 2nd time right side and I think if holds could be seen as a reasonable trend change pattern, which would send eu lower

but hey she could just crash straight through to the floor, but Im pretty sure SNB will have a little say in stopping that shit

just making a point... buyers and sellers are =.. if u hear someone pushing this point beware.
usually someone is just repeating something heard and learned. like some of our ancestors said and repeated. "like the world is flat"...

One of the things I learned from you in the "useless" group is actually learning to develop your own view of the market.
You're spot on. buyers = sellers so we can only go with what we know, and price will either prove us wrong/right.
There isn't one voodoo formula or formulae that sets a trading plan on fire.
A pip is only worth it if you know how much you risked to earn it

Surely you have an account that is of decent size to support your stops.

Rising, doesn't mean LONG. If the move up has happened and you're flat and price is approaching a significant resistance level, rather than trying to "pick the top", seasoned traders just place a short at or near the level and put in place significant stop losses for the vibration.
For newbies, this is a mind fuck = why would I allow a position to go underwater? etc etc

So in this case, we are certain of the road blocks....
fair enough, I've only been trying my hand at this for a year. Only recently started becoming profitable, but that was patience and discipline issues rather than strategy. I now try to trade only Tues - Thurs, and only during the London morning/lunch session

I get the impression though that many are short biased, with there judgement still being influenced by the ongoing eurozone crisis. Fact is the euro & dollar are both ugly sisters, both as bad as each other when it comes to fundamentals

yep.. there is no way to know.. who is doing what.. a short on exit is a buy. and vice verse. one way that some brokers use is retail interest verse institutional. the retail are more likely to be on the wrong side.

I'd say Benny, ignore everyone else. If you have a process and pays, who's to say you're wrong. Everything else is just noise.

Having said that:

If everyone is short, despite the fundamentals - then those who have consistent reasoning are probably the ones whose brain you want to pick. I mean, just 3 days ago everyone was wanting to sell expecting the price to tank to 1.26XX. I think this is because they see a Fib indicator and they just think well it HAS to go there. Well it doesn't. Price moves of its own accord.

I for one, have now fully accepted Support and Resistence levels combined with timeframes. My reason for shorting @ 1.2887 is due to a midpoint of a big bear move on the daily and 4H and I think it will form a cup and handle. I'm not short on bias though as I've been longing this beast all week.

Gator's concept of elastic band price movements is a really good concept to understand.... price doesn't move in straight lines. Something I picked up from Cloggie (years ago now) is that price has a memory, so I tried trading with naked price action only.... had some success using Breakout strategies to exploit this idea. Top and bottom pickers, well I've lost so much money trying to predict this... but I'll give you a £1000 strategy: "look to the left. If there's empty space, it's probably a trigger". Figure it out... this has made me money.

Ok. I'll stop waffling now. Lunch.
