I won't short either EUR/USD and EUR/JPY. There's option barrier at 1.2900 and 106.60. Who knows what's going to happen next.

) I wrote an article about this method and how things evolved since then - can pm you the link if you interested..In general, my view is that any directly on charts placed indicators (like bbands, ichimoku, etc.) which prevent you from seeing PA properly is just ...not serious really.. Although I dount say that it's impossible to make money on it or that ones using it are wrong.. Just there are so much more horizontal and angular PA levels to track - why to complicate things with this wichcraft!?
There is much more meaningful moving averages that trader could apply in his analysis, for example - I really like logical time periods, like 24 moving average for H1, or round numbers that most of market participants see (50,100,200, etc.)
In the end - if Mr Bollinger himself didnt become millionaire using his method than why others bother so much?

bollingers are just a statistical measure in terms of standard deviations of PA as an overlay. they represent volatility. they can have their place within flat pricing like anything else. and.. as an FYI, they (visual overlays of volatility) are particularly important when you play with options derived from flat pricing contracts.
Its more of an personal issue for me - I just hate that indicator!)ANd for deviations - Fibonacci retracements and extensions works best for me.
