hmmm, this looks like a nice pair to trade... im not a sonic expert mate but ill try to trade this today if i will be able to catch a sonic setup around the marked area. thanks for bringing this up.

Two reasons for closing several trades there. Firstly, asian session runs do not normally go far, and quite frequently reverse and lose it all. Secondly, today is Monday. Monday is a day the market sometimes jockeys prices around to position them better for what might be coming during the week. Up might mean up, or it might mean slightly up to load up shorts for a "positioning" move down, which iteself might not be all that great since it is a "positioning" move. In other words, this first day of the week pricing can be irradic. I decided since I had some profits there, I'd take them and then sit back and see what the market decides to do.

As for being bearish EU, well any bias can rob us of trades or put us in on the wrong side of one. So I'm neutral. Right now PA is above both the M15 and H1 Dragon. And both Dragons are angled up. If this were showing a fresh setup and if it were the LS, then I'd say go long. But it is the asian session and the setup was actually fresh late Friday. I'd feel like I was chasing the trade if I entered. It might not go much further. Of course, there is no telling about that. I just decided to take profits and wait. This run up might only be to pump the price for more shorting this week. Since the higher TF (H4) trend is down and since the price is running back up to previous highs, I'm thinking waiting to short is the least risky thing to do right now.

I have been giving a lot of thought about volume. Tah is right on as usual.

Why does volume increase at a given price?

How does a broker make money?

How does the broker make the most money?

Brokers make money off the spread. This is their bread and butter.

Brokers make the most money from hunting stops. this allows them to fill their shorts and longs at the best prices.

So in conclusion high spikes in volume tell us that there were significant amounts of stops at a given price. We know that brokers take the opposite side of the trades and stand to benefit from the next move.

Want to know what Sonic says about where to place the entry order? Read the Manual linked in Post #1. You can also read the first dozen or so of his posts to see what he says. I'm surprised you ask such a basic question which only points out how little homework you have done. I'd be embarassed to ask such a question. Anyway, put it whereever you want, because that is always your right.

EJ: Entered short. Risky since asian session and Monday. The early asian session run up might have been for loading shorts. On that hypothesis I am venturing a short on this. The SL is mental because if this does not start dropping more, it might get lifted in LS before a run back down. And in that event, I just don't know where to put a hard SL since I believe it will ultimately fall again anyway. My SL placements are just practice for me. Most of the time they don't work out, but the trade eventually does, which is why I keep the SL mental. TP is tentative.

Kotlt, this is difficult because half number support is right below PA. If it is going to drop, it might not do so until LS later today. I took the chance anyway. Furthermore, going short has increased risk because even though the M15 dragon appears to be starting to angle down, the H1 dragon is not. Not yet anyway. So, the asian session run up could be genuine buying and the more recent downwards PA and short setup might just be the result of a pullback for more loading of longs. Monday is irradic. Trades are riskier.

Hi everyone,

I just mixed ZUP indicator and FIBO tools with SONIC R system. It's easily to find EP but it's a bit hard to spot TP. would you guys please tell me what's the best way to confirm a good TP?

If you can pick S/R area, use it.
Or Daily Pivot, DR1, DR2, DS1, DS2 can be your TP
Or Fibo level (161.8, 261.8...)

Dave, I highly suggest you put a stoch on your chart, you went short when stoch crossed on the way up.
And your stop was a bit tight. Just tryin to lookout for you mate.

You could probably get your pips back right now by trading short, stoch is crossing for short and volume picking up a lil bit.

Set your SL to the market, then figure how many pips it is, then use the calculator to see how big or small a position size you should set for how much you want to risk.

worldfreedom, i see volume increase in EJ, i think price can move higher.

Another interest thing is today's price open above Daily Pivot .

Anyway i do not enter trade, hope best luck to you and hope you're right
