well, i will say that today has been a huge let down. congressional mouth flapping reminds me of europe. "we feel good about a fix!" ... everything rallies 1%

"remember when we said we fixed it? the thing is this..." and markets drop 2%. more like sell the rumor, sell the fact today.

politics and markets are WAY too intertwined these days.

PT, I wonder if you thought today was going to be one of those days when they have a bit of a sell off just before close? Just wondered with all the volatility today.

Chris, I didn't have very high hopes for a huge move down today. In fact I don't want a huge move... just a little bit every day and hopefully with enough upswings to take advantage of additional selling opportunities.

As for a Friday sell-off, I only expect those after a heavy week of buying or just before a big event risk weekend. This Friday is neither of those.

I love this forum too, but since I'm the one that has to write the morning updates, I can't say I love them as much as you do
