Any trader in their right mind wouldn't have gone long there but Robby Robot did!

Yikes...I definitely didn't get a trade there. Some of you are showing some bad trade signals. I wish I could help more with why that's happening, but we'd need a coder or something to help. Here's my e/u chart. No trade taken there.

That be said, I got hammered last night anyways. Market very choppy again. Have to think about filtering.

There seems to be too much reliance on whether an arrow shows up to show when to open a trade. The idea behind the trade is what is important.
There is a breakout into a new trend, there is a pull back within this new trend that doesn't change the new trend and then there is a resumption of the new trend

Relying on arrows instead of thinking for yourself suggests to me that...

I really don't understand how you can trade using the indicators here...i would advise to just stick with candlesticks and some ma's for trend visualising..anyway all the best

Don't know what to tell you or why so many are having problems. I'm getting the same signals the thread OP is getting so, for the moment, I'm happy with it.

Anyone who has worked with EA's before will know that it is impossible for a group of traders to all receive the same signals as each other. There are too many variables. Different brokers have different feeds, there are fractional differences in the speed of internet connections, there will be queuing of data that causes even one person sitting next to another in the same room with the same broker to occasionally get different signals (in an extreme case).

Rather than worry about everyone getting the same signals it is more important to develop a sound method, to learn how to use it properly and to trade effectively. If there are differences between signals received by one person compared to another it will balance out in the end. Don't sweat the small stuff.

Much better people learn how to trade this method properly and use the EA as a back-up to help educate themselves.

Time to get on my soapbox a little here.

As far as developing a sound method and learning to use it, that's what we are attempting to do here. Many sound methods, perhaps even some used by yourself, utilize a variety of indicators to signal possible trading opportunities or entries. You may not personally like indicator trading as some trade purely price action, and that is fine. But the originator of this thread saw fit to give indicators for his method and so that's what we're working with.

So....yes, everyone gets a different feed, with different brokers. But if you've taken the time to look at the charts of those complaining about different signals, these differences go well beyond different feeds. There's a fundamental disconnect between how some traders platforms are showing the indicators as opposed to others that seem to match (even though with different brokers) the OP's signals. Perhaps it's a faulty or flawed indicator. I don't know as I'm not a coder, but that's what we have for now.

But if the thread participants can't get the same indicators to act in a similar way, then it's going to be very difficult for the group as a whole to progress with the development of the strategy.

I don't know what the trading experience of both of you are, it may be quite advanced. But your history here at FF seems to be limited based on your post count. What I have come to enjoy about FF is how traders try to help traders and offer constructive help along those lines and in line with the intent of the current thread being discussed.

What I hate to see is when posters show up to discredit or criticize a thread or strategy, that quite likely, they have never taken the time to test, and further, offer little in the way of practical trading insight to replace it. That may or may not describe you, I don't know. But that's the feeling I get.

Hi Spyderman. We're on the same side - I'm enthusiastically following the thread, partly because it's a similar set up to my own moving average based trading method which my trading account balance will tell you is successful (!) but from initial backtesting this looks even better.

From previous experience, I know many people have misconceptions and often unrealistic expectations about EA's (e.g., everyone should get the same signals, when experienced traders know that won't happen.) If I can help people understand a little more about EA's, I will.

My thanks and respect to Cubbybgood for offering up this method.

Look Im not gonna change a system that is already profitable according to its creator. But after looking at several currency pairs. This system seems more accurate if you take a second and turn the chart to hourly take a cursory glance to see if there is in fact a trend in this market or is it in a chop. If its in a chop dont trade it. If its in a trend only take trades in the direction of the trend. Anybody else agree with this after looking at the charts?

Why avoid loss ? There's no perfect (100%) system/method. Just accept the losses and manage properly your gains.
