Yes, the setup is there. On the other hand, the time is incorrect. So, what can easily happen is that price really goes nowhere, just ranges. Then, the asian session market pulls it down again. Why? Because it will be the first time that market has a shot at also loading up longs at these new low prices. Hence, that market might spike price down on a long building maneuver. And when all is said and done, later a new Sonic R. long setup gets formed, with an even lower EP!

Of course, the setup might run true. It does sometimes happen, but usually it does not. This is just one of the reasons behind Master Sonicdeejay's recommendation to only trade the London Session.

Thanks Tah for the response .. We gonna see what happen .. I know about the time .. It's ranging time now .. So what do u think about my stop loss ? Is better if i keep it mentally and decide after along roads or set it before as i do ?

New to this thread so just thought I should introduce myself.
Why am I here?
I had three criteria
1. A thread with a five star rating
2. A thread with a long track record (at least five years)
3. A thread where the originator is still actively trading and contributing.
So this thread ticks all the boxes

Your SL is just below LOD (low of day), which is a good location for a "fail-safe". The range on this pair is not all that great, so it reduces the chance of a huge whipsaw taking out your SL just before the trade runs. It could still happen though, but not likely until into the US market tomorrow. Just my take on it.

If looking for a possible trade that runs prior to the next LS, this would be a candidate.

Note that the LS trading activity increased thru the session as the price reduced. Possibly a measured selloff by the market. And note that when the price "got too low" the market pushed it back up on reducing volume! This is often a hallmark of pumping 'n dumping.

AU is a popular pair to trade during the asian session. And this one might setup for a short. There is a medium impact AUD release in less than four hours, which might be the catalyst for a move one way or the other.

Looks like a great thread and some simple/profitable trading going on around here. Good to see.

I have a question. What kind of channels are you using here? I use Interactive Brokers so I don't get Donchian Channels there which is upsetting. Going to join sharescope or another program to get that.

So anyways.. you're using a 15 minute chart with what type of channels? Appreciate it!

For now I am trying to look at this strategy but using Keltner channels instead, will this strategy work with those?

In the good ole' days you used to have to go to the head of the auto to get it started,....give 'er crank and it would fluster to a start.

Growing up in school there was a popular praise you'd receive for exceptional work, "Great stuff. You go to the head of the class!"

Then there is the saying, "To be ahead of eighty percent of everyone, work harder than they do."

And of course, if you want to stay ahead of the Joneses, just buy every damn new thing that comes out before they do!

Now, here at the Sonic R. System thread on Forex Factory, if you want to find stuff to get started with, then where do you think would be the logical place to head, huh?

Thinking about this one for a long trade. The market is keeping a tight reign on it in the whole number area, which is a nice place to build a position ahead of a move that I suspect will be up, but that is speculative.

Thinking of an entry close above the whole number. But later, some smart assed big money outfit is likely to ram the price down on a longs collection maneuver, and the result might be that a later Sonic R. long setup will occur with an even lower EP! But, if I don't enter at the first twitch up, it might just keep on going, and leave me behind.

We'll see, but what is shown is just a proposed situation, not an actual entered trade,.....yet.

BTW, your posted charts will be better if you use, Save as Picture/Active chart (as is) ......
Not Save as Picture/Active workspace, or Save as Picture/Active chart.

To do this, move the green dot to the middle choice before saving the picture. Once you do, the dot remains there for future saves. You do not have to move it each time.


Edit (2.5 hrs later): Price is beginning to fall away from the highs, but since Dragon is also leveling off taking an entry just because the price pulls back might not turn out so good later. This needs more time. It might turn down and continue down later.

I would say start from the origins...then make efforts...don't feel depressed you make errors but always look for the excellence...
