Yes, coastal area flooded and many businesses on the east coast are closed. Many of my clients are closed.

Ok: Here are the news:

Due to hurricane sandy New york is shut down (sub, train etc.). No wall street today.

This is really bad, let's hope the hurricane won't hurt that much.

personally i think the euro is going to rise from here due to trendlines/channel that i have on my charts.

that being said with everything that is going on in the us with this storm and the potential for increased computer trading i am shutting down for the day.

trading imo is going to get quite "wacky" between now and election time and this storm, and all it entails, is just our intro.

We're right at the POC (point of control/most traded pip of the session).. so no direction pretty much.

and the added fact that price is not holding below D#0 for long and bounces back, let me know if i am reading this wrongly so i can correct myself

I know you asked the mp guy, but here's my 2 cents if I may.. This is not how you trade market profile. You're looking at where the POC is and what's the spread of the value area (where 70% of the trading happened). You're also looking at where the VA is in relation to the previous ones.. You also pay attention to where the buying / selling happens (above /below the current VA).. If that's the case, the big money is moving the price to another level where they're gonna build another POC (ranging).

The tendency is the price to be bought/sold around the POC (where the perceived value is currently) and sold/bought at the extremes of the current value area (when in ranging conditions).. If it moves out of the VA, we're trending to the next level.

I trade longer term positions as much as possible, so I'm looking for different setups, on the longer term (H1 and H4) mp charts.

Market profile is a very valid way of trading, one of the best I think.. I did use it, but then I found something giving me more accurate entries..
