I closed the trade with 1 pip gain (better than nothing) because it's too much boring. The market is slow. It's my first trade with the sonic method and I won. I'm happy.

Umbro, congratulations on not losing money on that "Sonic R." trade.

1. First day of week.
2. Before LS.
3. Not M15.

All added risk. You can see on M15 that you shorted right into a support area. And there the price bounced. The trend is down, yes. The week opened with a down move, but not far. Just enough caused by some early asian session outfits selling off. Now the market is likely to wrestle the price back upwards before anyone proceeds further with selling.

Tah, thanks for the feedback. Appreciated. I agree with your notes. I use to have these trades with a risk of 7-8 pips and same on the reward during the asia session. The entry is on the the support because if not I cannot make pips. It's a risky trade. I know. I'm at the lower levels of the learning curve (may be not the lowest I hope). I have a question. What kind of trades you take with the sonic setup in the asia session ? Thank you.

Good question, umbro. Glad you asked. I've been pounded to mush by trading the asian session, and early days of the week have been the worst. Mid-week might be best, but even then the main course served is shy in pips most of the time. Then, every once in a while, a really good run slips in and beckens traders to resume attempts to trade the asian session as a regular course meal. Bah! Nope!

I scout for good looking asian setups, and have found many. Then they run nowhere, or even reverse. When it comes to the asian session, Sonic R. setups are like racing cars,.......it is not how good they look, but how they run that counts! And asian session racers are lucky if they get out of Pit Row!

Well, PA did not make RWH last week. However, the premise is still valid that the market pulled the price down from the TL to load up longs before heading the price back up, and thru, the TL. Friday was an "up" day, just not as much as was possible. This first day of the new week is promising for the week as a whole, as PA continues upwards.

In about 30 minutes we have FO. That market might give some clues. Two hours later we have LO. I think we need to wait and see what the market shows us. I have no idea what will happen. However, it would not be surprising if the market did what it could to pump pricing for awhile, because getting it higher would mean the market could resume serious selling starting at higher prices.

I'm considering a short pre-market because I expect this devil support at 1.29250 will be crashed but according to the chart volume is very low. The dragon is flat. Ok... Let's wait.

Time Zone Changes

Sonicers, this weekend London and Frankfurt went off DST, so the FO and LO might be an hour later than you expect, but they are still an hour apart. Over the next several weeks other places will go off DST. Once your broker goes off DST you need to fix the manual input at the top of your Control Panel, so when charting without a live feed, your TzPivots and vLines are proper. With a live feed, everything is already handled for you, meaning the Clock, TzPivots and vLines are ok. Remember, you can use the Clock during live feed to check the number of hours difference between your broker and GMT, which is the manual input that might change. If your broker is at GMT, there will be no change. If not, when your broker goes off DST there will be a change, and that manual input will need to be changed.

The attached chart shows London now at GMT. It was GMT+1 before this weekend. The broker also shifted one hour. It was GMT+3 and now is only GMT+2. So, I had to change the manual input for the Broker_GMT_Offset from "3" to "2". Having done that, if I am charting without a live feed, everything will remain proper. The procedure for determining what change to make to the manual input, you can see, is simple. And it is also fully explained in the User Notes at the top of the compile of the SonicR Control Panel.
