It missed my order by 3 pips. I was away and could not handle the deal in person.

I Don't see a wedge for a ledge, YET, but i promise there will be one Eur/Jpy Scaled out 2/3,

I have a bit different view on the formation. If current levels hold (low of the day), we could be on the way to forming a very symmetrical diamond.

I might want to add that diamonds, the true ones, are very powerful formations when it comes to trading.

Rubbish day for me yesterday, not really because of the 1 losing trade, more because of things I passed up on or missed.

Took a 0.6R loss on a CHFJPY long yesterday and had a +2.05R win on a GJ long today.

Do you trade these with limit orders or you wait for the reaction and jump in?

It seems the entry was a bit late (above base), that's why I am asking.

Yeah I use limit orders - that's just the effect of spread.

Not sure about that obsessing over one pair has it's benefits, crossing over to others may put a hex on my mini streak lol.

Thursdays and Friday's trades attached.

Possibly not the best trade in the world (2nd chart) but with all that consumed demand, there was a high probability that price would drop IMHO. All out at that significant 1m D zone.

Busy day with other commitments, x1 trade little over 1R. It'll do

I don't promise anything as the market can surprise us every day.

All I can say is that, as mentioned in a previous post, the attached scenario is very probable IMHO.

In reality a diamond is composed by a broadening triangle and a regular triangle. The sequence of moves inside the formation has to be sequential.

All-in-all, a diamond can be "read"as a double quasimodo pattern. They are very powerfull.

The broadening triangle is already in place.

I know this is quite out of the threads subject, but I thought I might as well post it.

Hi Everyone,

Excellent stuff here LJ and all other participants. Very refreshing to hear your mindset about these methods. My first post here. it seems like I have been using a H4 technique that identified breaks of SD zones and enters on retrace but pinpointing location has always been a bother. But reading the material here and going through the videos I just cant understand why I couldn't make sense of LTF order flow before. seems pretty straight forward. Anyway I would like to post a chart here and get some experienced eyes to comment if possible. I feel there might be more than one zone of SD imbalance here.

Thanks again and keep the posts coming. They are more educational and helpful than most things I have gone through.

I am starting to question it though and wonder whether this is a wise move considering Hurricane Sandy and what not. could have unwanted spikes around US open. Liquidity problems could also be a possibility.

This one was on my watchlist - in fact I did have an order in place this morning but I cancelled it when a) it became clear NYSE was shut for the day b) momentum was extremely low during this mornings session and c) price just hung around after breaking an SR just above.

When we have market conditions like today you have to make a decision whether it's worth trading or not, at the very least you should be risking less % wise than normal on days like today IMO. For me personally it's not worth the risk trading on days like today, plus watching an extremely slow market is very boring!

Price is certainly not responding as I would like, EU is looking sluggish (I'm sure other pairs are too ) Happy to call it a day with one GU FTB loss (smaller risk) and EU VLTF FB fixed R binary.

Thanks for the response LJ. Yes thats exactly what I was worried about. Order got hit though I've banked a quick +8 and adjusted my SL to BE. See if it has enough power behind it to go to FLR around 6070 ish (I think)..
