Backtesting for trend

Has any trader got the data for the last five years about the Eur/Usd i.e on the candle chart what is the relation between the first four hour candle w.r.t to the daily candle. I mean if the first 4 hourly candle (GMT time) is green is the daily candle also green at the end of the day or whatever. Thanks

I don't know how to use the history of last four years in making analysis. I draw constant lines by analyzing recent(within a year) support and resistance. You can go history center of your MT4 trading platform. Just press F2 or go to tool and select history center to go there. In history centory you will get history of last 10 years or more.

no one trading day is the same, not one trading minute.....on the same token there are website with free historical data.

Not sure there are five years H1 data in MT4 terminals, but EAs are definitely a simple way to produce some simple statistics. I'm not into EA coding but I'm sure you can find someone here for the job? Small EA for peanuts LOL.
Example: I had an EA called CandleSize - when I ran it in the tester, it never placed any trades but listed average candle sizes per hour, 0-23, so you would see the biggest moves occur during the LO-NY overlap.
The program you need here, would make note of the 1st candle of the day (up or down) and check whether the close of the 24th candle was higher /up day/ or lower for the same day. You can copy and paste the tester journal output into Excel and then it's up to you to suss out the correlations.
