Automatic Trend line, trend channel, support, resistance detection

I wanted to know if any of you have ever tried to automaticaly detect trend lines, trend channels or support and resistance lines with MQL?

The only idea I came up is the following:
I calculate a regression line for the last x bars and draw a line above and below this line in the distance of the standard deviation or maybe highest open/lowest close in this period.

Any other approach is welcome!

There are many indicators that draw regression line/channel.

For reference, search web by following keyword.

for regression line/channel:
auto regression channel mq4 --- there are a lot of similar ones
i-Regr mq4" ----- this one draw regression curve

for support and resistance:
support and resistance mq4 --- some variations exist. But I think basically all they uses iFractals() to detect S&R

Hi there,

i was wondering whether out there is some library written for automatic detection of non trending channel. I am thinking of something like this: you've got typical oscillator and you can measure correctness of prediction within chart quotes and this oscillator and when the values of oscillator are predicting correctly price movements then we've got sideways channel.

And my question is whether it is possible or whether somebody have tried/used something for analyzing current trend.
