1.04? I know the China HSBC PMI came out a bit better than expected, but perhaps you were not aware that the employment component of that number was very weak... not to mention that the headline number is still below 50.

Anyway, at least you're only risking 10 pips and perhaps it will at least make an attempt at 1.0340 before it tanks again.

I don't like people posting trade calls. But this was a clear shot I wanted to share (won't happen again I promise ) . SL @ BE and let's see how the day unfolds.


ADD: I am aware of that number but I am massively short Eur/usd. A very good Aud/usd long shot in the morning with a daily calendar like today is a perfect risk hedge.

Agreed... and just for the record, I encourage trade calls out loud. It gives others an opportunity to throw in their two cents worth of viewpoint and allows the reader at large to see many sides of the same coin.

Share and learn is the theme of this thread.

for me personally it is because of this approach (analysis/trade calls) that i like this thread.

i just see it that if the thread were only analysis that would be like a coach continually analysing a game but never actually playing.

with trade calls we get the analysis but also get on the field, if that makes sense.

I shall rephrase. I don't like people that make random trade calls without stating there reasoning.

I also enjoy reading other people's live trade calls coupled with their analysis as to why they are placing the trade and when they plan on exiting the trade.

I doubt big money "guesses" like that.

If u're referring to event traders then this is how they play:

assume PT is a an event trader (apart from being a fundamentalist, technician, euro conspiracist and what not ). Now, on Monday he looked at the calendar and noticed the euro PMI figures to come out on Wednesday. He thought that they have a higher likelyhood of dissapointing rather than improving so he took a short on the first retracement (which happened on Monday) and decided to run it till the news day. Being in profit, he now has three choices: a) close all ahead of the news, b) close partial and let the rest take the risk, c) let all ride through the event.

Whatever he decides, his strategy was an event based. "buy the rumor, sell the fact" is pretty much based on the same premise.

what i mean by all of this is that big money or whoever are more likely to close a trade ahead of the event rather than taking a new trade (and a blind risk)

so you never know if they are trading the daily or the one minute time frame.

they just scream "BUY" or "SELL" and 3 minutes later they got their profit of 5 pips.

0,1,2,3 lines


i see first res at 2942/43 and if we fall below then my target would be around 2850 min, 2996 short was from line 1 and targeting 1st at line 2, now i expect line 2 green should be res if going under but cable is saying other wise lets see good fellow traders

comments here are individual semtiments and they change frequently.so i advise you use comments hear as "head ups" and not signals.

cable is rising if i am correct then today is the last day for cable to meet my number at 6085, i will be very happy if that happens only hurdle in line is 5999, if breaks then i expect explosive move towards 6085 min,

cable and fiber both are at res now

This for you PT, was curious how can one get those news feed from reuters or bloomberg,cos heared they are the best, or are this feeds free?

Not free but only about $24K p.a. for Reuters. Unless you trade in millions, that's free
