No idea how it will come, but even if it will come as/or better than consensus, it is very, very bad data, so shouldn't be that much positive on yen. 9 day from BOJ meeting quater end in Japan, this should be more important and deciding.
Ignored
Thanks haqu it's going to be tough from here I think with all the resistance on the way up

Trade Balance much worst than expected, strong yen is realy not healthy for Japs :> Let's see how London and NY will react to that!

Faster reaction than i expected, testing 79.65!

It is going down against its cross pairs people are buying the USD for example because japan has much uncertainty right now.(possible intervention, strengthening yen destroying their economy and soon on) that is why USD is going up against yen. People are shorting the yen and investing or longing the USD which creates the movement up that you are seeing

hello
I think the USD / JPY to 79.58 support line appears. Then the price goes up 80.20.

I thought it looked like a falling wedge:

Attachment 1058320

With SPX looking bullish for the moment, I'd be looking for this to break upwards with a lot of momentum. Difficult to trade on the daily, as it may or may not retest the trend line if it breaks. But handy for the lower time scale.

Broke quite nicely. I'd like to see a retest of 79.65 where I might add to my longs if I see the right price action.
Gone to a better place

80.60 will be major resistance. If we can get by that, free sailing to 85.50

Is anything ever plain sailing with dollar yen!

I would say there will be a decent pullback at 80.60.

Hopefully the Japanese do a good job at the monetary meeting coming up.

It will be several days just like today...after the bounce down from 80.60, which could go as low as 79.50. I'm going to wait to add to my longs

U/J is in last phases of distribution IMO, there will be a very large accumulation coming, when who knows who cares really. It will be a long term investment me thinks buy lo and hold trade something else if you need to make daily pips

Good wave count, except that I suspect subwave 5 is already underway in what looks like the start of a possible diamond reversal pattern.

UJ has hit its long term descending trendline and reached the top of its descending channel.

Of course, should it break back above 80, then I'm wrong.
