for what is worth.....here are my two cents.

the euro has been moving up for 4 trading days in a row....the average is usually 2 up days per run before it cools off and corrects.

yesterday's range was 56 pips, right around 1.3100 where we stand now.

I expect the euro to correct today but probably not very convincingly, if it does perhaps we are ranging again and should look to long around 1.29

realistically 1.3050 sits at one standard deviations of returns from the open, and 1.3180 sits right around one standard deviations of returns from open bullish side.

so there you have it.

I am currently in profit from 1.2885 and adjusting my risk and t/p according to the swap.

Sorry about that. I got stopped out before I woke up this morning, with my other short, from last night. My sl now is @ 1.3127

Yeah, I must work on my SL setting skills some more.

Daily Pivot from my indicator was 1.3090? Will have to look at that....

Mine is @ 1.311. That's the problem with different brokers and different close times. GMT etc........

Try this one out. I've been using it for a while now. And it's been very spot on with the H1 chart.

I believe it is a lack of understanding of volatility.


if you are trading the daily and want to catch the monthly then 3% volatility needs to be accounted for historically.

.66% daily volatility if you want to work your targets you need to know that

.66%/ square root of 24 you get your hourly volatility and if your target is the hourly movement then you need to work within the confines of the hourly candle if your deal was to catch the daily movement then you need to work withing the confines of that.

volatility can take out your stops if you do not have realistic expectations of either historical statistical performance or implied volatility, monte carlo simulation etc.

No, yours is right for London (GMT +1). I was setting my at pivots at GMT 0, not sure why...

Does anybody know if there is a version of this indicator for weakly pivots?

Candles are forming on the Pivot line 1.31029 and i doubt that price is going Up with rebound.

I'm beginning to see if and when price goes back up, it will be at @ around 1.3120x, right about when London opens. Then down it goes.
