Try just changing your chart from Candles to a line chart. Does it look anywhere near what you want...except inverted?

whats missing is the candles are not alive.. and they move/lie... repaint.. that the reason this way dont work. the tl's are not magnetic using those candles. basically its inferior. i tried it many times.. and lost hair..

Fine levels!

May throw a small blind one in at 2646...H1 200 just above there right now. Another at 2672/3...stops at 2678 + a few.

Think I'd set those POs and sleep on it.

EDIT: Been in this range for about 46 hours now.

Pretty old attempt at it, though (2006/7). I'll dig around and see if I can find something newer...er...better.

You can't switch the overlay on that one to display as a line, though (as is). All setup through OHLC. I actually don't know if it is even possible to do in MT4. Well...without losing a completely unacceptable amount of hair!

IF the overlayed candles worked correctly, would you be fine with the main candles being turned into the line chart?

Essentially...you don't even want an overlay. You just want a mirror (inverted) image of whatever pair you're charting, correct?

the main thing is it being accurate.. i wanted to try line over line with some ma's.. i was able to do it with dealbook.. it worked well for scalping.

same chart as earlier.. with a new one... the tl is in the same place.... the overlay candles moved.. this is what sucks..

I remember now...horrible flashbacks!

Tough to put into words, but...pretty much a no go in MT4. The program itself would need a different type of "Price Scrolling" option. Argh...really tough to put into words. Anyone familiar with audio editing software will know what I mean. Think Scroll During Playback. Scroll After Playback. Scroll To Playhead. THAT is the option that MT4 would need to be able to do this accurately. It would offer a continuous "fixed" point of reference to scale everything off.

Again...tough to explain...and I'll be fakked if I'm drawing images to try and explain it.

I have 24GB of ram, and MT4 will use 2GB MAX!!! Hunk-o-#^%#$!!!

I kid, I kid. It is what it is. Been around for ages. Seems to have outlived MT5 (). Free...yada, yada, yada. Fine enough to make money with, but terribly frustrating at times, because some very basic things are missing...and probably NEVER coming.

Compared to other programs out there...definitely long in the tooth these days.

It's making me so tired...that I probably would have tried that next!

Pain in the bottom. Been down this road before, and I think it was so traumatic that I've blacked it out of my memory. Every few minutes, some snippet of horror comes flashing back!
