Data is one thing. How market reacts to it is a thing to watch. Sometimes it acts strongly, but other times, it just nods at the data acknowledging the compilers' efforts and starts going in its direction.

I think it's only matter of time before Europe snaps back. Once it does, trouble for USD will start and many things from under the carpet will surface. well the documentry stated that all the gold ever mined would fit into 2 olympic swimmings pools.... not much eh!

but I done a few calcs....

1000kg (metric tonne) = 0.05176 m3

swimming pool = 2500 m3

170,000 tonnes mined (minimum agreed estimate) = 3.52 swimming pools

so on that basis the documentry was 75% wrong...

add to that they don't know the real answer and many estimates suggest a figure of more like 1,200,000 tons ever mined which equals 24.84 swimming pools full..........

what does all this tell you?

two main facts....

1. The documentry was crap

2. If nobody knows how much exists how F* can you value it - I might just as well tell everyone I have 5 tonnes of the stuff and they might just treat me like I do

Funniest thing happened to me. When I woke up this morning, I checked quotes and it was down to 35. I got happy since I am in profit. But when I logged in to my account, it turns out that I got stopped out. lol

Now I'm back to square one. Should've used 30-40 pip sl. But hey, I was right wasn't I?

40% of world's gold comes from only one mine in South Africa. Google would know the exact measurement, but if I correctly remember its 2.5 x 3.5 miles. Not sure about depth. But it worths its weight in gold.

Was about to say... I've been down some old gold mines in south africa, going few miles down into the earth, this being one of many many. Two olympic pools...BS.

yes but they take out tonnes just to get a few gramms it's a big volume business....

the hard part is not the modern mines, it's actually the bit before the 1800's and right back to inca times etc. where gold was found in deposits close to or even on the surface - they have no idea how much was there....

anyway my swimming pool is half filled now

but you weren't tactical...looking at market conditions you have to take what you can get up sides down...very indecisive

I entered the market 2 hours before the real entry point. I didn't follow my rules. It's what I get for not following it. Would've entered around 67-70. SL on 87-90 which didn't even come close.

Now I'm looking for 3021 before selling again.
