just wish both sides of the pond would trade each others session in full (like i do, typically 10-12 hour days), wouldn't that be great?

News is only one aspect of trading. You must see proper support and resistance levels. I used to trade only on the news to almost always get burned.

You need to follow the Price Action not just the news. Yes the news does change sentiment, especially the major news such as FOMC meetings, and ECB meetings etc. Also dont forget the news that doesnt show on a normal schedule. Moodys downgrades, etc.

If something says should be good for USD, but EURO goes up, then sentiment hasnt changed based on that news. Use proper judgement in determining support and resistance zones.

Im not brand new but only have been doing this for about a year now (currencies that is). A little underwater from when I frist started but I havent blown up my account yet so that is good for one year of trading.

yeah.. point is Europe has been crappy for 3 years now, U.S. is "great". Just watch when the shit hits the fan here next year.. That being said, I still can't stand the Wall Street fuckers to begin with..

yeah, that's good thinking.. I'll probably start trading Asia (this one is pretty good when it moves, it's just one way), wake up at 4:30 am here and trade until London leaves.. This shit is so aggravating..

ive actually been doing this a lot lately. falling asleep after london close, waking up and enjoying life (oh no) for a bit.. then trade Asia, sometimes from my iPad so I don't have to be at the computer..

Are you implying that because it’s hard to trade the NY session, they must not know how to trade? That doesn’t really make sense to me. If anything, it’s probably the other way around. Seasoned institutional traders are better at hiding what they are doing. Just my 2c.

I've also noticed that when asia chooses the direction then no major pullbacks. almost straight from point A to point B. But unfortunetly asian session starts in my country at 2AM and closes at 10AM + i have my dayjob. So not tradeing in asian session but i have pending orders for it.

I didn't say that and not implying.I just don't like the way they trade.Most of the time.They make quite a mess in the charts and me as a beginner trader like to stay aside. But when the trend continues/ charts are readable for me i like to ride. But mostly I stay aside.Better to stay aside than to lose money.
