Yes.....you should be watch Genesis!!! It doesn't matter what the numbers say, it only matters what Genesis says.

I imagine a lot of people lost money because the moment those good numbers for USA were released, they would have jumped on EU and sold heavily.....and then got stopped out.

Right. You have to have in mind 4 indicators ,
comparing to the Ha PA Candles.

I think Genesis is the best in M5.

but equal or M1 or D1 (works both, slow but great)
dont be to cool, to greedy, to empathic,

no coulda woulda shoulda

simply follow only the rules, and you will succeed.
It realy simply.

ps. And follow or understand Pivots. and Heikin Ahis.

ps2. I think Genesis has a (almost) perfect entry, but lags with fast exits. In M1 ( )

But i think i have to switch. Its another system. Gn.
How to opt out annoying user signatures ??

Not sure what charts you've been looking at on here, but we use all different currencies, not mostly JPY crosses.

I don't aim for any particular risk reward I take the market as it comes but others may have different ideas. Obviously I'm not going to take a trade with a 60 pip stop and only 30 pips to the next pivot but I don't aim for a particular R:R.

Although I'm new to this system I've been trading since the 90s and very successfully for the last 4 years with stocks. Genesis is a natural fit for me with forex markets and it has been going very well.

I aim for 2-to-1 reward-to-risk ratio...but not on every trade. If my equity is at new highs then I will take a 1-to-1 trade no problem. However, when I get into a drawdown I get defensive and much more selective with my entries and trade management and focus more on waiting for high quality setups with a 2-to-1 RR to climb out of drawdown. You have to be adaptable and not see it as a black or white thing. The goal is to minimize losses and maximize profits. Press your winners and cut your losses.

However, I keep a running tally of how many trades i've taken with RR less than 2-to-1 versus those with RR greater than 2-to-1 and I will get more selective if the metric drops to an uncomfortable level.

The minimal RR I will take is 1-to-1 and if I do take a 1-to-1 trade then I'm typically extra careful, depending on the size of the stop, and ready to bail on the trade if the price action starts to get dicey.

I've noticed quite a few traders asking ,"What risk to reward ratio do you aim for?" (or shoot for) 1st of all, this is highly dependent on many factors. Your risk tolerance level, personality, account size, sobriety level, etc. 2nd of all, all of the traders on this thread use different R:R levels, some don't use any, it's highly personal. 3rd, and this is very important, is use of the word "aim". You may attempt to attain a profit that was 2X your risk. It doesn't mean you'll get it. You take what the market gives you and move on. And last, don't expect peple here to teach you how to trade. Go through the Baby Pips school, check some other threads and forums, but this thread is not a How To Trade thread. Some of the traders here have been quite generous with their time but frankly when I come here and I see posts like "Where should I put my stop?" or "When should I exit?" or my personal favorite, "How much profit have you made with Genesis?" I'm gone.

So true, setting unrealistic TPs with big RRR is one of Forex's easier pasttime.
As per the usual, it's a good idea to keep a journal of each trade, including DrawDown, pips banked, most pips 'seen', % of TP achieved and so on....If you consistently fail to achieve 100% of your TP then it's probably too big for the TF you're trading and you should reduce it.

From the 1st page of the thread:
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a system for noobies to FX trading. Do not come here asking and/or expecting to be shown how to trade.....the experienced traders will not show you any mercy!! Instead, please go to babypips/school and do their course. It is free and it is extremely good. You will learn much there.

I closed this trade with very small profit just before price began to reverse. That inside bar just before the reversal made me nervous. No loss, so I'm OK with it. Plus the M5 Stochs were heading south.

Alohamen,

congrats on trade !! pips is pips

If there was an award for putting the most Genesis tapes on 1 chart, you win by miles !!!

But remember Genesis motto - less is more !!

I dont see the point of having stochs indi, and then exact same stoch tape ???

Shame we have already reached 98% ADR for EJ. and S2

Grabbed a few pips for myself
