Why so hard?

Don't you think TA is suck? Maybe you understand precisely than me. It won't work all the time seriously.

From my past experience, analysis is crucial. And what i think that we should not follow with TA, it won't work forever if you treat it as a business. Maybe some time to play a bit for your own interested. Haha..... If TA is a gamble machines, then many riches everywhere. But still why so many traders suffer that (Looking for holy grail strategy, forum, conferences.....) to seek answer and techniques.

So i share a bit about myself, find a way to know FX in details (Price keeps repeating the same manners all the time). Then will know what to next. So believe yourself instead of trusting TA. And one more thing, trade smart! Haha.....

Thank you, I've got your point. You cannot use analysis always because it's a material thing, living, but material. And at the same time it is so hard to
believe in yourself, you always have doubts. And that's why I usually apply myself in using intuition, but again you have to believe in yourself to use one. What do you think of intuition?

Haha....good point. I think if i want to trade profitable game, it must be logical and make sense. Example no such things of earning big in short time for small capital. Secondly, there must be huge risk behind if want to dig a big gold mines. Because everything is equalize (Good and bad, risk and reward, force and retarded force....). This is natural. However, it is possible to generate a consistent profit as long as there is a balance between profit and risk. Example a car accelerate a constant speed (Reward) toward north direction, meanwhile some opposite force (Risk) act to the car also if you know science.

So now how to do with trading. Need to find a method to control the risk and maximize the profit either in strategy, money management and system. Must suffer the risk to gain it, of course you must able to take the risk (Capital and trader's attitude). I do not trust TA, i use my own technique for trading. However,i could utilize TA as a new method for signal. Example i could change MACD to become MA (Play math magic behind because i am sick about origin TA....haha). Same, i am able to change current time frame MA to become higher time frame price action's trend. Whatever, know the math and change a concept, it is not the origin indicator anymore but without changing the appearance.

OK. So the most important is winning probability for a strategy. How to increase it while taking the huge risk behind. High risk high return (Equalize). There is little manner of trend keep passing by or repeating for all time frames, products, instruments....all. Find a method to build a tool to give a signal once the manner is arriving.

Once you believe yourself more, more different concepts and solutions are coming to you. So dare to think also! But it must be reasonable with sufficient knowledge and skill.

I absolutely agree with everything you told me. As I understand TA is just a kind of machine, which can never be perfect, even useless, especially in trading. All I've got to do is find something new all the time, that could work whenever I trade, do not want to lose money, etc. Because nothing is perfect and cannot be. And the more I know, the better, that's the way to apply myself. And it sure must be reasonable with sufficient knowledge and skill. I must be able to make decisions without TA. I understand why. But in trading I'm still not good at maths (and that's the reason for me to think more). I'm just new to Forex. I really need to dare to think, and that's what I usually do, and inner voice is also present inside me, that's why I cannot ignore it. I really need to believe myself, and I believe you. And your tips are really priceless.

The toughest part for me was NOT TO TRADE when markets aren't optimal. If you have a regular job, you're used to always doing something (unless you slack off). However, in forex trading doing nothing is sometimes the most profitable strategy. Getting used to it not being fixed income is a challenge too.

I'm sure the economics/technical side is a challenge for some, but I had 7 years of real estate, economics, and business education...and 6 years of working in the investment industry, so I'm ok when it comes to stuff like that.

Psychology is the tough part...agreed

The way I look at this issue are as below. The players in the market are
1. Country central bank
2. Commecial bank
3. Fund
4. Corporate
5. Businessman
6. Others fishes
If u are one in the catagoly of 6, do u think it is easy to make money from this market?
Have to arm youself with xxxxxxxx.....

Basic idea of trading/investing is not hard or difficult to grasp.

1. Buy LOW, Sell HIGH = Profit

The difficult part is in yourself. Lack of education and discipline will lead any new investor down the wrong path.

Anyone can push a button to place an order but it takes knowledge and reasoning to know WHY you decided to buy/sell at a particular level. Couple this with protecting your investment decision, make trading not difficult at all.

Just remember,

1. Always stay on the side of the overall trend.
2. Only the FED (i.e. FED, ECB, etc) moves the market.
3. Always protect your investment decisions. (i.e. stops orders)

Bottom line, daily market fluctuation are random. Yes, I said it! Overall the market is random. There's no right or wrong answer. You can't control anything the market does once your money is on the table. The only thing you have control over is how much you are willing to lose. This is why protection should always comes first to mind before pressing any buy/sell orders.

The overall trend is not random. Trend is controlled by the FED. Follow as much as you can about FED decision as this can make or break a longterm trend.

Weekly/monthly economic numbers, such as Jobs report, has no real bearing on the overall market. Just junk information that will fluctuate the dailies.

Moral of the story. Follow everything the FED does and remember (Interest Rates, QE, etc) are important.

Always have solid reasoning for placing a trade. If something doesn't look right or doesn't make sense in the market, stay out!

Before placing the trade, ALWAYS have an exit strategy in place before executing an order. Know how much you are willing to lose before placing the trade. It's the only thing you'll have control over once your money is in the market.

Reading simple order flow is easy imo the reason it is so hard is that those who teach don't know it and portray there own version of the market. If I make a loss I know why and it actually increases the probability or your next trade and another loss increases your probability again.

Find the right people in the business or any business and you can be successful.
