talks were going on that there was a H&S pattern forming and leading to a breakdown, however, that patter has broken down. Now instead, if you look into H4, u will realise there is an inverted H&S pattern. Cheers

Just in case....you ask about the time frame. The H&S Pattern was in H1, Inverted H&S is in the H4 time frame. Gluck!

I appreciate a reminder followed by a good technical point. I have noted your opinion but I will stick to my reasonable tp for now though and be on guard for mental stops if price is aggressively approaching my stops. May you keep up keeping newbies like me on their toes.

EUR/USD is trapped into 1.3010-13120. I am also trapped because of my two floating minus open buy order. Big boys are not playing and waiting for the news release of swiss foreign reserve.

keep up the good work mate.. trading has a very long curvy & winding learning curve i can tell u.. just try to cut loss quick (as in my signature) and try to learn to know when you're wrong in your position at the early stage after positioning.

bare in mind that i trade mainly based on 4h, so my entry might not be as aggressive as yours on the daily basis.. and i only trade one side of the market at a time cause i only have 1 dic* so can only be in one position at a time... lol.

it seems illogical to long at current price due to dojis forming in 4h, why are you taking long at current price level and why not wait at support after valid retracement?

So much so, a lot of factors to take in. I'm still in the process of working out what works for me. I look at different time frames but am glued to m15 most of the time, in and out and maybe letting them run when they turn out to be good entries.

My bad habits are severe for now, still working on them, just earning a 30% win loss ratio but up 21% these past 2 weeks. Thanks again mate.

i think that's quite an aggressive positioning, mate. normally my entry is based on less than 5% risk on my margin and i'm quite happy with just 10% a month..

I did a mistake and m bound to keep open the order. I am astonished to see that EUR/USD is still in the trap and not go bellow 1.3000!!
But I wish within today it will rise to 1.3170.

well, based on 4h, normally when price in consolidation at about the last resistance level, it will go down first perhaps making a breakout retest pattern (for me the resistance level is at about 2960-70 area which is quite close the the psychological level of 1.3) so I think we might see a retest on the resistance turned support first before going further up..

it really rare for the price to just breakout after forming several dojis in the higher TF. imho.

"Decent retracement"..I heard that several times when the euro started its climb to 1.317..the retrace came,after several hundreds of pips..the best approach is to trade in real time..just my 2cents..

What I have been reading forecast seems positive for US dollar.
I read 120-140k new jobs added in Sept.EU and GU both could tank rabidly.



Time of release: 10/05/2012 12:30 GMT, 8:30 EDT

Previous: 96K
Forecast: 100K to 140K
Why Is This Event Important:
The world’s largest economy is anticipated to add another 115K jobs in September, and the uptick in job growth may increase the appeal of the U.S. dollar as it raises the outlook for growth. At the same time, the unemployment rate is expected to widen to 8.2% from 8.1% as discouraged workers return to the labor force, and a slew of positive developments will certainly dampen the Fed’s scope to expand its balance sheet further as central bank officials see a limited risk for a double-dip recession. In turn, the weakening argument for more quantitative easing should instill a bullish outlook for the greenback, and we may see the FOMC start to soften its dovish tone for monetary policy as recovery gradually gathers pace.

I am short currently on GU but may add later on Euro
