If it is confirmation that they have been buying bonds, then that is a double edge sword because the need to do so is bad and the doing so is good.....

The surprise might be that they were buying Spanish bonds this morning
Max there is nothing more draghi can do. He has achieved the mission of bringing the spanish and italian yields to sub 6% and 5% respectively. He surely cannot bring them to 5% and 4%

Every time I go to enter a trade it moves in the opposite direction.
In an out all good if you are right,the market is really trying to suck in all the players.Let them think they have an even chance off making some money.
Keep thinking its to risky to buy at this level,more than likely enter long
below 129000

I am not any hurry to lose any more money

I remember when it fell from 1.5 to 1.4. people were saying I think it cannot fall more. surely we will buy and it came down to 1.3 in no time. then at 1.3 , this is surely the bottom. it is undervalued.blah blah blah. fell to 1.2250.

so bottomline nobody knows where this currency is headed. all are speculators over here.

I AM just watching the USDOLLAR
if it break down then possibility of eur$ break to the up side till now euro$ finding good res between 2955/65 lets see, another thing i am witnessing in other forums and thread that traders are getting more and more bullish euro$ this is so me worrying signs for bulls, if any spikes comes i am watching closely 2985/95 zone for possible weakness

Drop today went through today's London open.

Hello traders,
I will present you my long term and medium term technical analysis on the EUR/USD pair.

EUR/USD Monthly

On the Monthly chart, we are in a uptrend channel.We have seen a clear rejection at the 1.2200 support level in August, that created the channel and September was also a positive month for the EUR/USD.We see on this chart that the general view is rather bullish, so we keep in mind this when going on the lower timeframes.We continue to the Weekly chart to see a detailed view of the range we are in and the downtrend channel currently in play.

EUR/USD Weekly

On the Weekly chart, the situation is slightly different.We are in large range from 1.2604 to 1.4801, but a downtrend channel is in effect and we are and in a incomplete impulsive wave correction from 1.2045 to 1.3167.I say impulsive wave, because the correction rhat we are in is actually a wave in accordance to the general downtrend, and not against it, so the correction may proove to be a deeper move in the near future, reaching to the support of the range (1.2604 - Fibo 50.) or even lower before we become interested in a long position.

EUR/USD may form on weekly a reverse Head and Shoulders pattern with the right shoulder bottom around Fibo 50.0 or Fibo 38.2 of 1.2045-1.3167 and then reverse, respecting the range it is in right now or it may form a Double Bottom with the second bottom around 1.22s or lower.
Until that will be confirmed, we are going to Daily to locate our position that is in accordance to the Weekly bearish view and its downtrend channel, detailed on the last chart.

EUR/USD Daily

On the Daily chart, our weekly downtrend channel becomes much more clear and we identify a good opportunity to go short, with the trend.A good setup will be to sell near the confluence of the channel resistance and the 1.3017 resistance or after we have clear rejection patterns in that area, if you choose to play safer.You can also choose to sell now, assuming you use the stop loss provided on the chart.Our target for a short on Daily will be the near the next support level of 1.2669.
Since we are still in a uncomplete correction of the 1.2045-1.3167 wave, correction wich is a impulsive wave(trend friendly), we might use a take profit target further deep , near the Fibo 50.0 or Fibo 38.2 levels as a extension.


At the moment of this writing, there are no good risk/reward H4 or H1 setups.

Fundamentally, we keep a watch on the ECB Press Conference at 3:30 PM and the FOMC
Meeting Minutes at 9:00 PM.For the USD we have two other important news for today, the
Unemployment Claims at 3:30 PM and the Factory Orders at 5:00 PM, with both expecting
negative data.

let me tell you trading dow jones is much more difficult than trading the euro

EUR still maintain its bullish bias as we have in our weekly analysis. we keep on buying any pull back on E.GBP $ E.USD.
