If you truly are serious about being a trader then there are seven things that you will have to accept.

 

  1. You will have to accept that over the long term at best only 60% of your trades will be winners. It will be much less with some strategies.
  2. Accept that the key to being a successful trader is having big wins and small losses, not big bets paying off. Big bets can lead quickly to you being out of the game after a string of losses.
  3. Accept that the best traders are also the best risk managers, even the best traders do not have crystal balls so they ALWAYS manage their capital at risk on EVERY trade.
  4. If you want to be a better trader then you need to accept that trading smaller and risking less is a key to your success. Risking 1% to 2% of your capital on any single trade is the first step to winning at trading. Use stops and position sizing to limit your losses and get out when your losses grow to these levels.
  5. You must accept that you will have 10 trading losses in a row a few times each year. The question is what your account will look like when they happen.
  6. You have to accept that you will be wrong, a lot. The sooner you accept you are wrong and change your mind the better off you will be.
  7. If you really want to be a trader then you are going to have to accept the fact that trading is not easy money. It is a profession like any other and requires much work and effort and even years to become proficient. Expect to work for free and pay tuition to the markets through losses until you learn to trade consistently and profitably.

I was following your explorer since the beginning and only saw big losses.

LOL - The human will triumph in the end as always happened since the time of the dinosaurs .
I have noticed one thing though , over time ;For you to defeat the Beast -EXTREME patience is required.There are no short cuts .Sometimes you see your position winning and you see the Beast coming back to hit your stop and you think , "I better get something out of this" , then you close.As soon as you do that , the Beast continues in your direction (before hitting your stop) laughing and waving at you going a further 200pips .As a rule of thump;No matter what happens -

Keep your Stop Loss
and
Take Profit Positions
According to your System

You can see how I am trading since I went LIVE - It is different , It's all about my system and I don't count a win (or a lose) until it is closed .I will do a HUGE accounts top up after 3 months and all depending on my SYSTEM performance

Please find attached the Results for week ending 28-09-2012.The way it works is different from last time when I didn't have the range and Intraday trades.I could not post at the end of Last week because I had an open GBPJPY trade

I have been there and done that - This is prone to failure.He is Risk is too much .He is trading 10 lots to get 2 pips , now what is his risk reward?How will he react when he gets 3 losses in a row ? so far he hasn't had one.He has only done 22 trades .Remember what I used to do in April ? this looks familiar.
I will start to take note when I see the same results after at least 3 months .

Both are very good, but the second is not trading for more than 100 day, i guess he is rich with 5,430.1% increase of his capital wow

It is working. The point is that while I'm risking 1% I earn 0,2%-1%, sometimes more, but the more I trade this system the more earning and less loosing trades I have. I was down 10% and now 9% profit so it is similar to earning 20% a month. and it was the first month when I was just testing the system. now it gives me 3-4% a day
