The USDX is approx 50% weighted on the Euro.
When looking for linear correlations, you must ignore the USDX. Instead look at the actual USD crosses, JPY crosses and Euro crosses. Compare them against each other plus the CHF, GBP, AUD, CAD and if you want, the NZD

ADD: Right now Euro is rallying across the board on Spanish aid request speculation.... which will not happen. So it is setting up for a perfect sell when it reaches the ionosphere

When you get the big spikes and are on the wrong side it can help to choose whether it is a climax move or the pair will keep running against you. Multiple charts is how i decide.

thanks a lot for ur xplanations.but if you get a spike on the 15mins and on the wrong side,but pa going your way on lower time frame does that mean i should hold position?

It has struggled to make a higher high, exactly as it failed to do so on the 28th. Problem being now that it's trading slightly out of the channel from September 17th high.

I agree...if u know what you doing then absolutely. However the 4H is the only TF I have been unable to stabilize wrt back testing a system...but I wont quit trying...
