Massive tendency to range, spike and retrace. Often not much movement, erratic when it does. London works best for me, analysing my trading I lose most in the NY session. Stearing clear from now on, I'm UK based no real reason to get involved in NY once I've made money in London session

Yup London is the money maker. A lot of swift movements during that session. US market you may get about 2 swift spiikes and the rest is sleep time.

I may follow you on that. The US session from 8am through 10 - 11am is pretty good still as it has the London trader in the mix still.

Afterwards though its all bankers and fewer retailers in the forex market me thinks.

I have never traded the London session, but I agree with you about the NY session. Basically, I wait until all the economic numbers come out and never trade after 12:00pm EST. On a typical day, I only have a 2-2.5 hour window to look for my scalps.

I mean look at what has happened today. We had a nice green london lession for london. Over 100 points increase right before uncle bernie began to speak. Do you really think it would continue to go up from here? The problem we have as a trading community is we lack the skill to teach one another what really matters. We get so stuck on what world leaders has to say, and what high time frames say, that we are blinded by the diamond in the ruff.

New York session is more erratic and unpredictable, at least to me.

I assume your some where in the states. Yet If your on the east coast try trading from 2am to 5am your time. If your a scalper that period is heaven. Unless your a scalper with a bias, you should be able to earn 50 points a day between those hours. I was lucky enough to earn 32 points on one scalp trading using super high leverage.

Really been focusing on how to improve my trading & remove losses, definitely after today NY session is getting ditched. Made good profit in London & handed some back in NY, if I don't make profit in London im simply going to move on to the next day

I swear that is exactly what I tell my trading partners. Once you earn pips in london, dont give it back in US. because it will put you to sleep then kill you with one spike.
