I know you are a very serious trader and I respect you for that, but I think that 1570 for ES is just a number, nothing more.
I also see that Quarterly numbers failed to break support to the downside, but I see no reason why it would get all the way to 1570 in the short term.

Purely technical I can see a drop in EU for a few hundred pips, there is unfinished business at several levels.
Also UCAD is in a nice channel up and if one thing is sure, parity will always come back sooner or later.

But of course I wish you the best, we'll see how it develops.
I'm ready to change my view any time when I see enough reason.

Here is the 4 hr UCAD chart, some will say the descending trendline will hold, my view is that it will break next week and after maybe a retest not come back there in weeks to come.
And follow the upward channel for a while, maybe even excelerate when it breaks the channel to the north.

We'll see, I always appreciate your opinion.

And once we break the descending trend line with a close above it and a retest, I'll go in long at full throttle.

Thanks for the chart. Let's see if we can break and stay above descending trend-line, that would be fantastic. I am currently not holding any positions in UCAD, however, thinking of placing a long pos at the retest of descending trend-line.

However, I have my worries re the strength of USD after QE Infinity. In my opinion we have not seen QE3 have much of an impact on the USD. At the same time, a global slowdown should have a negative impact on the CAD.

What are your views on crude and China in the near term?

Please, I need you help.
I think we have corrected only the 5th wave from 2500 to 50% fib and there is a need to retrace also the whole move up. Do you think we start wave b of this retracement that will go to at least 3050 considering that we have 200 day ma and a pivot zone at 2840 that has not been broken.

Sorry pal, you should have grabbed the opportunity to add long @ 0.9785 as I did, it was right at the bottom of the upward channel.
Risk versus Reward could not be better.
In stead you tossed your long.

I can only say, have some faith in bottoms, trend lines, your own interpretation of them and handle accordingly.

QE's have not much impact in the longer term, it's a terrible job from the Fed.
I remember when the US credit rating was slashed and everyone was scared the interest would go up, what happened after that?
The interest rate did NOT go up and China was buying US Treasuries.
Why?
Because they have nowhere else to go.

The only thing I believe about anyone who is practicing Wave Theories is that no one ever seems to know in what wave we are in.

So why bother?

And as for R:R, I try to trade that as close as possible.
Yesterday I made an exception by going short GU @ 1.6262 with an sl above the high. Fortunately it worked out great and I made 60 pips on it.

Probably about 5 to 6 months. I usually set-up one trade per day during London session. Usually eur/usd or gbp/usd and very occasionally aud/usd or nzd/usd. I also use usd/x as an indicator. I look at multiple time frames daily, H4, H1 and m15. I also look at candlestick patterns, fibs, pivots, trendlines and try to get a handle on any major news. But I find at the moment supply/demand works very well. Thanks for asking. What do you look for to set-up a trade?
Looks good Fuse. Supply & Demand does work very well indeed. It has to work well because this is were Big Money Sell or Buy, so putting your orders at those price levels/areas will give you a much higer potential reward.

For me personnaly, I look at the whole picture, starting from higher Tf supply and demand levels/areas, I like to look for fresh ones. I also look at compression, price action (how price left the s/d level/area and how it arrives to it) and engulfed supply and demand levels. And I look at the USDX aswell

I'm still learning to trade through charts and EURUSD mainly and have not had time to consider news, crosspairs and other info when trading....I hope to do that soon...

Right now just staring at and charting the euro pair over and over...
