Asia got little time to break the support I think. we saw middle eastern sovereigns and BIS buying around 1.29 level yesterday. think they will do it again today.

The usual level of inactivity from 1500 EST thru Sidney to the first Tokyo half hour in situations like we have today (huge accumulation of underwater positions) - has always puzzled me.

I'd guess a very large number of traders were caught out the wrong way beginning a little after 1400 EST this afternoon by this protest thing. I'm sure that pile has grown quite a bit since then and yet large traders in that period seem to just peck a little at the booty, and it's only in the first Tokyo hour or later that someone comes along and swallows it in two or three huge bites (I assume that is how you believe we will get to 2830 or thereabouts).

Do have any clue about why it almost always happens this way when it would seem to be so easy to trigger a cascade of stops a little after 1700 EST? At least that's my puzzled view.

its because the aussies like to ride to ride on TY back, so they either wait for them or take it the opposite direction TY will just before TY open.

But is the preference to "ride" a matter of money, expertise, some external service, or I don't know what?

It seems like they could make a fortune ... but they almost always take a pass.

I think it is because position adjustment in respect to timing of emas, smas whatever lines algos are using.

It is this way confusing/time consuming and if traders position is underwater, it is about patience and nerves. That usually result to mistakes.

well, raised my TP to 1.2850..for first trade after holidays would be not bad...my pending heavy long still on 1.2750...good night compagniors!

Okay, you're saying that extended period of inactivity is like a long, dark, scary tunnel where you have wait and wait and wait... makes ya crazy?

Glad to see your still in your trade - I got out a bit early, but I couldn't manage it while I was away. Are you still thinking 1.2750 as your buy point?
