If anyone wants to post a chart of their trades without the other indicators on there that you use its quite easy. Keep open another chart with a basic genesis template on it and then post that, no need to have it open different charts for different currencies that you trade either, in mt4 simply view market watch and drag the currency you want onto the chart and that will change the chart to that currency, then you can post that. No need for us looking at charts with all your other indicators on there.

I might have an explanation why traco doesn't put genesis on his chart. As we can see, the arrow indi is on the chart, and from what I can see, when the arrow print, genesis is always setup as well, at least I never saw the opposite.

So if someone uses and always wait for the arrow, he can skip genesis on the chart.

Another way to make a screenshot with only genesis on it, save 2 templates, youe template and genesis template. Take genesis's template for screenshot, and replace it with your template after the shot was taken.

RJ has seen this chart before, the coral I can remove but is based on the 60sma which miss yelena uses, the candles are the e-set candles in which cody posted if they are on the chart you dont need the matrix because it is the same thing. the cloud is not used for comfirmation but I can remove. I was just showing the trade. I dont want to get yelled at.

Traco1 not sure I yell at God forbid.
What I meant is that we are talking about Genesis, post charts with other indicators that work well or even better than Genesis, you are likely to get confused. Reader expects to see 'Genesis' and could not understand other charts, which would serve absolutely anyone and this is not the purpose of the effort they are making the promoters of this thread.

Ok, I'll take your word for it, you are more aware than me about this. I did look on my chart before to post it and there wasn't any occasion on euro chart for the last few days so I assumed and as usual when we assume something, I was wrong. Thank you for clarifying.

Hello RJ, Does the Genesis Matrix Repaints when we change its TF to HTF? As I want to use M15 TF Genesis in M5 Chart.. Plz reply. As I am getting a gud backtest using that strategy...

It can't repaint once the candle has closed, bear in mind if you have the M15 matrix on the M5 chart you will need to make sure the M15 candle has closed before you can say it won't change. Thats not repainting.

Means when a signal appears in 5min chart with 15m genesis then we need to wait for the 15m candle to close to confirm the signal

Sorry just noticed this post. No need for switching templates, have the basic genesis template on a chart and minimise it, work on your normal chart, when you want to take the picture open the genesis chart, take the picture, minimise it again.

Just to clear this up.....my understanding is that instead of using the Matrix at the bottom of your chart, you are using the GMTS-Dash as created and supplied by Xaphod.

I am completely fine about this because the Matrix displays it's data according to TVi, CCI, T3 and GHL indicators. In exactly the same way, GMTS-Dash displays the same data sourced from the same indicators, just that it displays it's data in the form of arrows in a box at the top left of the screen, whereas Matrix displays it's data as red and white squares at the bottom of the window.

The advantage of using the Matrix is that we get to see the history of the indicators and we get to see the 4 colours lining up as the move deveops..or not!

The advantage of using the GMTS-Dash is that at a glance multi timeframes status can be viewed which may give more validity to any move in a lower time frame. The downside, as far as I know, is that the GMTS-Dash can only show the 'here and now' status and the history and the developing move cannot be seen at all.

To be honest, I haven't tried the GMTS-Dash, but I'm going to do so now just to make sure that I'm seeing this correctly. Perhaps Xaphod or Cody would like to comment.

If you go to the Genesis Tools thread of Xaphod, you will find the GMTS-Dash there and it comes with a great PDF which explains everything.

So that's that!

The Ichimoku cloud I would ask you to remove please because that indi sets up a bias and is not helpful or necessary to make successful trades with Genesis. As Olivia points out, if you want to trade with it, that's great.....just make sure you don't have it on your charts when you post trades please. Sorry to be so harsh, but there has to be a line in the sand.

The Coral I can let slide because it is just a coloured 60 MA which, as you say, Yelena and Minako both use, and I have seen others use. Really it's not necessary and personally I think it is a waste of time, but I will let that one slide......but that is the limit to how far I will let things go.

Moving Averages are lagging indicators.....the bigger the number, the bigger the lag. Thats one reason why MA cross systems never work. They look good in a trend, but they will keep you from getting a good entry in ranging markets.....and markets range more than they trend.

You're correct about the dashboard, RJ. It shows the current matrix in up to 4 user selected time frames. The historical values are not available. So it's great for getting information about a trade you're about to take, but not meant for looking at historical charts or backtesting.

Traco is also using the Genesis Matrix indicators in the candle form that I posted a couple of thousand messages ago. The red and blue candles will match Genesis for long and short. The yellow is when less than 4 line up. Same indicators, just in candle OHLC form.
