Okay I figured out the diff.

You are using the basic MacD that comes with MT4.

The histogram you see in the MT4 version is represented by the white line in my version.

My histogram is the offset between the MT4 histogram and the MT4 signal line. This gives a graphical representation of the true divergence. In other words, you get the signal much earlier.

Pip trappers histogram measures the distance between macd line and signal Line. Hidden divergence is on the histogram, hence pip trappers representation of hidden divergence is the accurate one.

Hello folks. Hope you all had a good weekend. I'm trying out something new this week to see in comparison which is more effective. I withdrew all extra capital not needed in the account. Keeping 5% of what I normally trade for one account, 5% for another.

One account will get to lose 5 pips per day (1 trade), with a target of 10 pips. 50x leverage. If I lose, its 2.5% loss on 5%, or 0.125% loss on total capital.

The other account will get to lose 25 pips per day (which is how I normally trade), with a target of 50 pips. 10x leverage. If I lose, its 2.5% loss on 5%, or 0.125% loss on total capital.

This is how you gradually run up small accounts without ever sacrificing very good INITIAL money management on your overall capital. Once you get great profit going the MM is much worse, but its still only risking profit, not deposit, which is KEY when you decide to use poor MM.

To further improve the initial MM, I will start out trading 25x and 5x leverage until the two accounts see some green. 20 pips of green for the one trade account, and 100 pips for the multi trade account.

So initial risk will be 0.0625% on each account (0.125% total).

After this it will be moved up to 50x and 10x. If the accounts fall back to breakeven from this point, I will move back down to 25x and 5x.

However I'm sure you all know how fast 5% per day (on each account, so perfection would be 10%) can run up an account balance.

I'm very excited to give this a try, as there are certain trades I can take where 10 pips has almost 90% of success. It may only come once in a day, but if it does, thats all I need for that account. The rest will be traded as normal.

Can't wait to see which account comes out better over one year. If one comes out substantially better than the other than I will switch to only that strategy.

Example: The total you allow yourself to lose on trading = $1000. Account balance for each would be $50. Even $50 x 100 (3% per day I believe) is $5000. Do it the year after that, its $500,000. At this point though of course (or even somewhere before it) you would definitely consider substantially reducing leverage (although maintaining the same strategy if you want).

Forex certainly isn't get rich quick, especially with poor first deposit (aka not house money, or market profit) MM, but it has the potential to be get rich much quicker than pretty much any other industry. You just have to work your ass off. Hardest easy money you will ever make. I am constantly doing things related to trading, even on weekends.

Also just thought I would post this.

Learning to find when divergence is almost guaranteed to happen before it happens has been a massive breakthrough for me.

Of course I must wait for the confirming candles and HL/LH before entering, but that's not what divergence is about. It's not so much about entries as it is knowing when the odds continue to be for the trend, or are starting to be against it.

That's all we can do to be successful traders anyway. Play the probability game. Vegas cleans up with a 1% edge over even the best of gamblers. Even professional card counters can manage to squeak out a 0.5% edge LONG TERM over the house. It requires 100s... 1000s of hours and VERY GOOD money management, not to mention not getting CAUGHT, to make it as a professional card counting black jack player. Believe me I have tried it.

Forex is harder (at least to start), but arguably less stressful.

Anyway,

H4, H1, M30, M15

My auto divergence indicator missed some of these. The ones that are thick lines I have drawn manually.

Proving once again man is better than machine (not to mention the Knight Capital $400 million algo mess up that happened about a month ago).

If I had to predict the market before it happens using what seems like almost guaranteed divergence, I'd say it will be hard for the bears to continue to take control (in the short term anyway). Perhaps they can but it will be a hard fight down (H4 chart predictive divergence)

Be careful with those buy limits there on h1..

Hidden divergence are best for projecting targets.. It means the indicator, the RSI in your case, is overbought for the price at the second high there.. So.. in order to project the next target short, you take the pip amount difference between the two highs and you subtract it from the price where the RSI was at it's lowest between the two highs.. Eyeballing it, should be around 1.3... Eh, maybe your buys are all right after all.

Edit: Another helper when I was using the RSI is draw some trend lines on the indicator..

You should also know what the 30,45,65 and 75 levels on the RSI mean.. if it oscillates between 45 and 75 market is in bull mode, 30(or lower) to under 65 is in bear mode.. When it moves between 40ish and 60ish, the previous trend is changing.

RSI was one of my favorites indis.. Still is, but I found something I like better.


yet another edit: Taking another look at the RSI, I thought the lower window is also that, but I think that's a macd... Anyway, the hidden divergence on the RSI above projects a target below the last low actually, so I would pay attention to those buys at the bottom there...

Part xxxx in my (driwingmenutskinda) obsession to fans Lets see how they are obeyed next week or am I just full of shit as usual....

Simply put: Throw a fan each time it makes a new top/bottom and watch PA when it comes near it (or other fans) again. Can also be drawn from several TFs as in the pic those longer lines from D1&H4. Pretty much like with the levels. I use them also (actually mostly them).

Anyways I have been able to make some good calls with them so Im going to study them a bit more while trading.

Curious what do you use for your tick charting software? Just MT4? Do you know of any alternatives to MT4 that offers customized tick sizes(besides ProRealTime)? The only one I could find only lets me do up to 10-tick bars.
