I hope you guys are all enjoying the weekend.

I have been doing some groundwork in preparation for my strategy for the coming week. I am currently short EUR/USD from 13043 (Friday high and R1 pivot).

The monthly chart shows an inversed head and shoulder pattern, indicating a possible breakout toward resistance level at 13050 - 13080 (Chart 1.).

Intraday chart shows support at ~12750 (Chart 2.).

I am planning to:
1.Stay Short (sell short rallies) – Target: 12750 (support).
2.Enter a Long position at 12750 (support) – Target ~ 13050.

The trend is clearly up.

Friday was a narrow range up bar (close higher than the previous close) that closed near its low on increasing volume. This is a Squat and a sign of weakness. When weakness appears it appears on up bars.

In the background we can see No Result from an Effort to Rise along with a failed test. So weakness is starting to show itself. The next interval should be down.

If I traded this time frame, I would be looking for price to fall back into the Supply/Demand Zone and then give me a long signal. This means that while I expect further movement to the downside next week, I would not actually be getting short. I would only be getting short if this weakness was appearing in a Supply/Demand Zone.
