Anyone do any stats or has a rough idea, of how many times a year like today trading EU happens. I don't remember a similar(choppy) day like this over the whole summer.

Every time when central banks fuckaround with natural demand normally at a major level. 1.3000, 1.5000, 1.1800 and 0.8000 are major levels for euro.

long from 77.17 whats ur target for the near term... am planing to hold it for long term... and add more if it goes down... I believe its in a bottoming up process and i doubt we will get to see this level next year onwards... Cheers

Hi, my first post here so be gentle

Been trading for a few years now, burnt a few times, recovering this time pretty successfully over last few weeks. Finaly I started to use SLs and although it hurts, in a longer term seems to work well.
I identify S/R more carefully now, and set SL more accurately close to them to limit the risk.

I am spotting 1.2918 short term (Sunday gap? London open?),then 1.2905 and 1.2880.

But, as we are in the triangle currently, both break outs possible, so buy-stop at 1.3050 is in place, looking at 1.3180 / 1.3220. In both cases 15pip SL.

No specific target. I plan to trail it all the way until it decides it is done and overbought on the monthly chart. As it goes along I will scale in with more on major dips and take partial profits on major rallies. I will keep this up until it is time to start going the other way. Then I will do the opposite

It is usually quite choppy on the third Friday of March, June, September and December. That is when many options and futures contracts in equities, commodities and bonds expire and volume is unusually high, causing higher than normal volatility.

In this case it was the above plus the fact that there was a huge battle for control between the bulls and the bears as the E/U pair goes through its topping (accumulation) process which also produces choppy markets in itself.

PipTrapper, again thanks for your version of MACD, I implied it to my MT4 and it really looks better than the one I had.

I just wonder how MACD's can be so different with the same values.

UCAD closed above 0.9762

EU is always tricky, even though from what i saw on friday it should head down below 1,2900, but i don't rule out a final test of 1,3042.

For usdcad i'm bullish as well targeting 0,9866 and above 1,0000 later. I keep buying dips, i haven't tried a single short this week and it worked perfectly.

We'll see next week if it keeps working.
