We needed that rally to create our new bearish channel and re-test the orphaned 100 hour MA.

Now we need to relieve the MacD bearish hidden divergence and there are only two ways to do that. Down or sideways. As we all know, markets do not often stay still, so I think we go down.

since my stop was not hit on the previous entry doubled up with larger stop above 1.3100 on the added position.
This way if scalp entry stop fails will re enter that part at the next resistance level. While maintaning some open short.
Hard to concieve of a turn in the USD on a Friday but this is forex.

There still remains the afternoon US which is heavily weighted towards a weak USD. But the institutions know that, so the question arises will they use it to unload Euro's

Also remember that due to the fact that different brokers have different price feeds, open and close at different times on weekends, and that some have Sunday bars and some don't, that the MA lines will not be exactly the same on everyone's charts. Therefore, giving it a +-5 pip leeway is suggested.

This price actions makes you feel the ma is giving up, but it bounces again, better to place an order and not watch, go for a coffee with muffin

Troika review of Greece delayed until after the US election, RTRS

Reuters is citing a European official saying the EU-IMF review of the Greek debt situation is set to be delayed until after the US election.

It’s a bizarre headline because the US has stayed out of the Greek imbroglio and it looked like a deal was close before the Troika decided to take a week-long break today:

“The Obama administration doesn’t want anything on a macroeconomic scale that is going to rock the global economy before Nov. 6,” a senior EU official told Reuters.


They say that several sources in German said the White House doesn’t want any surprises before the election.

The only conclusion I can draw is that it sounds like they’re thinking of pulling the plug or maybe that the terms are so harsh that they’ll bring down the Greek government.

I don't see how your 3100 limit order is going to get triggered after that news release about the Greek review delay.
Obviously the Troika review is going to result in a huge "poop hitting fan" syndrome.

PT would seem that something is brewing. Still a while to go on the 4 hour bar but if we get two pin bars in a row on the 4 hour it is supportive of leaving shorts on thru the weekend.

Maybe the lack of leverage for the ESM puts the burden for matching funds or greater on the IMF. Definitely a minefield for the White House.

White House has a problem with Americans with another bailout announced this close to November.

add: maybe entering on scalps to attempt to grab a bigger piece is a sucessful approach. The odds of something going wrong in Europe is generaly just a waiting game. Just never know when it will happen.

Also there is supposed to be an upcoming debate between Obama and Ryan. I think unheard of in my memory. Ryan will be the intellect behind moving towards a balanced budget if elected. For a sitting President to debate a Vice President candidate says the budget is a big election event.

Also Biden who should be doing this, scares the beejeebees out of the DNC

No. The reason gold is up vs the Euro is because the Euro has dropped and gold has risen... Not because Middle Easterns did a drive by bid on the Euro.

As Euro goes up, all else being equal, gold priced in euros will go down.
