DislikedSorry if I'm misunderstanding something here, but as you work on H1 didn't that signal happen about 160 pips ago?Ignored
DislikedBefore I move forward and go through this incredible huge thread.....is this system still working? is it worth my time? I only ask because it has been radically altered since it's inception. Do I assume the system failed miserably at some point necessitating it's transformation to what it is today?
Also, what the h3ll do I do with a mq4 file? Do I have to compile it somehow in MT4?Ignored
Dislikedallison, all I have for symphonie v3.1 is an mq4 file.....do I have to compile it? If the systems has been so successful, why are we adding more stuff? It seemed releatively simple the first 50 pages I've read so far. Let me add that if the system is as successful as you say, I'll be more than happy to sing it's praises.Ignored
Dislikedallisonmagic,
While this is a markt dynamic changing event I would be very limited in enter any buys on the EURUSD at this time. The RSI has become very over sold and we have already have a 900 pip move which is pointing to some retracement coming soon. However, after this pullback I do expect the markt to continue higher.
If you want to see when the markt should rally then all one need to know is the schedule for the USA Central Bank schedule for release of it promise 40 billion printing each month. At that time you are almost guarranteed...Ignored
Dislikedthis is what im looking at right now.. did i mention my RSI indicator sends me signals when it crosses a certain level ? well also, i use the realjumper variant so i can get signals sent to meIgnored
DislikedHi Allison,
Any particular reason/logic why you're using:
.40/60 thresholds on RSI when most people either use the 30/70 thresholds or the crossing of the 50 line?
.the 'Open' as opposed to the 'Close' setting?
Thanks in advance.

Dislikedi use 40 60 .. when we are past 30, we are in oversold, 70 overbought. most times from what i've seen, when the rsi crosses below 50, i usually see downtrend. so i look for a cross past 40, wich gives me a heads up that were going into oversold... same with overbought conditions.. 60 in that case..
these are just my personal preferences, i dont care what anyone else does.. this works for me, so i use itIgnored
DislikedCool, if you've found that over time 40/60 is reliable & works for you then what else can we ask from an indicator. I like the RSI crossing of the 50 line too as a good weakness/strength indicator.
But regarding the 'Open' setting on your RSI (as opposed to 'Close'), does that bring the signals almost 1 candle early, like having a +/-1 shift?

DislikedWell i use symphonie for overall direction. i use rsi to see how strong the moves are. symphonie is a good indicator of the overall bias of the markets. As far as the 'open' goes on my rsi indi, it's not very accurate of course because the markets move in all directions before the close of the candle. however it gives me an early sign of what is in play. these are just my personal settings, I'm not giving advice as to how you should trade for yourself. it works well for me, so i implement it every dayIgnored
