Seems now we are heading to 1.2925 or so again. Nice morning for taking some good pips.

I have only been trading the EUR for three months, but I have read a few articles that say the 1.3 mark is extreme resistance.

Does anyone believe if the US does get QE that it will break that mark?

So far my shorts are 22 pips in profit, with no target defined.

In a few hours, QE3 is out at BE, no QE3 is huge profit.

I read an article somewhere that said QE3 would create a few jobs at a cost of $2 million per job gained.

Who are we trying to fool in the long term?

The derivatives markets are as big as 7 or 8 times the world's GDP.

where did you hear about qe3 besides this forum and media rubbish,US unemployment is a lot lower then EU also their numbers for this year are way up.So the only people who would think of doing QE is Europe as Spain has 20% unemployment other countries are battling between 10-15% and its mostly youth and older people that are suffering+plus dozen new taxes introduced in the last couple years that crippled middle class families into working class and so on.Dont believe what you hear or read in forex,as eventually its only to push money into one corner and then collect them for the Ones

I would have to agree. QE1 made sense. However, QE will not offer what people think it would. The markets should have this priced it, since the large reason that the US markets are up is QE speculation. It has been this way for the last four months.

The Fed Survey came out, and 80% (roughly) of the economists surveyed said QE3 would have little to no effect.

Depends on which way market is going right before FOMC.

Possible 1.2875 test just right after news, then testing something in towards 1.2930, 1.2950 - 1.3 nice area.

It is been really weak buying several 4hrs so downside test likely first as i see it.

Ben has not been in my thoughts so much but:

I do no think FOMC really announces QE crap, Ben will "deliver" but with different means.
They think they are smarter than I am.

My opinion is : Its undecided the direction yet and i expect clashing orders between those who believed the media propaganda and the real thing out of FOMC ... Which make it highly possible that spikes in both direction that will take out shorts and longs before the announcement !

I have two reasons for that :

1- I don't see any economic perspective from this QE program for the fiscal year of 2012. In fact , more signs and reports are coming out suggesting that the USA economy is recovering. In addition to the argument , that more money easing will not solve a problem that is made by fundamental error - which is quality job creation at first place. So, the core argument is " R u creating quality jobs that needs a push to grow , or just eating the money ".
