LOL, I got my 1432 on ES covered my short, worth the wait of 40 mis, GN all.

WEAK DOLLAR
Weak U.S. jobs data last week raised expectations the Fed
will launch another asset purchase program. That would weigh on
the dollar against higher-yielding currencies.
In a Reuters poll taken after Friday's weaker-than-expected
payrolls report, economists saw a 60 percent chance of the Fed
embarking on quantitative easing this week compared with 45
percent in a late August poll.
The greenback last traded down 0.7 percent at 77.74 yen
, its lowest in more than three months.
Analysts said the Japanese authorities were likely to step
up threats to intervene in the currency market and the Bank of
Japan could ease policy further when it meets next week to
offset any impact from possible easing by the Fed.
The growth-linked Canadian dollar rose to a
one-year high against the U.S. dollar, buoyed in part by the
Bank of Canada's tightening bias. The U.S. dollar was last down
0.5 percent at C$0.9728, according to Reuters data.



So... EU don't want to lose her currency... they make the news, they make the moves in this currency pair...

i just want to ask about some thing regarding qe3, one of my colleague says that if qe3 is announced sept 13 then fed would need time to implement it but as one of the parties opposes qe3 so fed would not implement qe3 now but wait till after election coz the party which opposes qe3 if they come in power they might not entertain measures to be taken under qe3 , so according to my colleague fed will wait till after election do you guys reckon there is some merit to this logic?

The dollar fell against all of its 16 most-traded counterparts before the Federal Reserve starts a two-day meeting tomorrow amid speculation it will buy bonds to boost the economy.
The U.S. currency declined to its lowest level in almost four months versus the euro after Moody’s Investors Service said the country’s Aaa rating may be cut if it doesn’t reduce its ratio of debt to gross domestic product. The 17-nation euro gained after Germany’s top constitutional court said it will proceed with a ruling on the country’s role in the European Stability Mechanism bailout fund.
The dollar fell 0.8 percent to $1.2864 at 1:03 p.m. New York time, touching the lowest level since May 14.

Can anyone explain how QE3 would help the economy? (apart from further weaking the $ making exports cheaper, the flip side being a price hike for all the stuff imported from China), also what is the Fed going to do with $billions it prints.
