- That's the hardest thing for elliottacians, because labeling and choosing waves is an Art.

- Imagine who hard it will be for noobs like me, but I feel, I must study it, because I don't have too much confluences at this area for Lonnie.

- Now, does it worth studying or dump it, because I think it's complicated?

- Does it will give me the edge that I need?

EW principles are simple and like basic TA requires practice. Sometimes the problem is because people are taught with perfect shapes or formations. For example pick any training material on head and shoulder pattern you will see a perfect picture that you might never see again in your trading life. Stick with it and you will get better.

EW is not easy. And the best way to take it on board is to try counting on higher timeframes. This way you will not be confused by every little squiggle on a chart. I try from the monthly first. Mark that pivot and then go to the weekly. Mark that smaller pivot and then count the smaller waves based on that pivot. You will never see me argue about a count because I will not trade based on a count if it not so obvious as to smack me in the face.
