and that is the correct way to trade......
it should not matter to a good trader if his open trade turns out to win or loose....!!!! crazy you might say but think of it this way....
A successful trader will be following a system/technique even if it is reading tea leaves he will have a system.......
Success relies upon that system having a probability that over time (x number of trades) gives a positive outcome using correct risk management....
so even if the current trade is a loss it does not matter because the correct risk has been followed and the outcome will be positive in the end.....
keep your head focused on setups and risk control let the system take care of the results.....
the problem comes when a novice trader has not tested the system they use to understand the expected outcome and therefore they treat each trade as a single trade and get emotionally attached to it - end up hanging on to loosers or cutting winners and that kills an account quicker than anything else - because it skews the risk profile of the trade
