Dislikedi appreciate your point but its just not exits for trend following, its for all types of trading, even if your entry sucks its your exit which will determine how much you lose, if your entry doesn't suck its your exit which will determine how much of profit you make.
You probably think i mention exit because my signature quotes William Eckhardt but that's not the case, even day trading authors like Joe Ross mentions in his book "Trading is a Business" exits are more if not as important as exits.

Also, I appreciate exit is important. But I think how important exit is depends on your trading style. For me, I focus on finding good entry point where there's momentum and space left for the price to run another 12-18 pips, and take profit quickly, thus entry is more important for me than exit.
Of course if you like to ride a trend, then identify trend, get in at some point, and subsequent exit becomes more important than entry.
